ChrisP
You're all a lovely bunch full of advice so here's a problem for you I have a friend who's been seeing a guy since the Christmas holidays. Recently he told her he'd cheated on her, and now it's over. Thing is, now she's always upset about it, and I don't really know how to cheer her up. She's completely lost her self confidence, blames herself etc, and doesn't seem able to talk about it to her friends It was great to see her happy, but now she's just withdrawn and keeps herself to herself Any advice?? Thanks x
AJuff
Buy her a hen to take her mind off things - certainly distracting enough. Make her a chocolate brownie in a mug and talk. Join a new club/choir/fitness club/walking club/cycling club with her. . excercise always makes you feel better. Plus you meet new people and it would give her something to look forward to. Encourage her to join an internet dating agency, my friends tell me they're great now and loads of people are using them. A friend of mine at work was in a similar situation but as time has passed she has realised that life goes on and he really wasn't worth it. Hope she feels better soon. Love can be so painful!! Looney
There's not much you can say or do that will actually relieve the hurt but you can try and take her mind off it.....and allow her to talk about it when she needs to. Just be there for her. You sound like a good friend so I'm sure you'll do the right thing
theherd123
She can have my brother! Ive been trying to get rid of him for years - no, i have, honestly! Nothing wrong with him i promise! Claret & Lesley can vouch for him as they have met him. He is a good looking chap, 6ft, mousey brown hair, athletic build, into fitness, cycling and scuba diving. Witty personality and a good laugh when he's on a roll. I have tried to get rid of him on 2 dating sites and TBH its costing me quite a bit to keep him on there, i cant understand why "Ooops, word censored!"ody wants him! How many 36 years olds do you know who have never been married and dont have any children?! He has his own flat which he keeps very clean, a nice car and no debts. If your friend is interested please PM me! If not let her look at this post and im sure she will be laughing her head off soon enough. ChrisP
Buy her a hen to take her mind off things - certainly distracting enough. Make her a chocolate brownie in a mug and talk. She's scared of birds ( ) So that might not be the best plan! I'm gonna go to the gym with her, it's been a while since I last went and have been meaning to go for a while! I guess it's just time that can help her Love is ridiculous sometimes Theherd123, that has me in hysterics! With a sales-pitch like that, it's a wonder why you have to have him on 2 dating sites

The Dogmother
Awww, bless. I hope that your friendship, distractions and time help her to get over it. I can certainly vouch for Emma's brother who is a smasher. If only I were 10 years younger! You STILL trying to get rid of him then Em? freddie
Stick a pic on here again please... I have a single friend, who is just a joy, shes lovely, has a daughter, is self sufficient, attractve, works hard, etc etc, and seems to attract orts.
