Meet the new girls (photos)

Recommended Posts

I couldn't decide which picture to put on here, so you have got the lot! They are just soo small - I thought they would be about 14 weeks, but I am sure they said 11 weeks today - they look smaller than the meat birds at 5 weeks, so still plenty of growning to do as you can see.

They are beautiful girls. Congratulations. I am totally smitten with the Dorking :D .

We should all have space for at least one Dorking - the oldest British breed, white egg layer and it has 5 toes - a must have for any flock! Then of course I have been to Wernlas today and whilst they went to get mine from the field I had spare time to have a wonder around all the pens - so now I have more breeds on my 'must have' list.

They are so adorable :D

very cute

I'm sorry but I just can't look at them and think small, but then I'm ver VERY biased as I only have pekins :lol:

This was my pekins at 11 weeks when we first got them

They all took themselves off to bed last night - they looked so sweet - all three in the Eglu nesting box, they looked so qute, but I couldn't disturb them for a photo. I still have to sit in the garden and just watch them and ensure my evil cat doesn't get to close to the run and scare them.

They all look really healthy and I am really pleased with them - when I ordered in early Feb it seemed a long time to wait, but it was well worth it because they are so lovely (not that I am biased in anyway) :D:D:D
