Lesley
Last year we held a 'virual coffee day' to raise money for MacMillan and thought I'd like to do it again and see if we can beat last year's total. We started in the afternoon and it carried on through the evening with people coming along as and when, to join in. Some of us will be attending real Coffee Mornings so how about a 3pm start? We had virtual cakes, virtual drinks (I can't say coffee, because alcohol seemed to appear from nowhere! - Kate!) and ........... best of all ......I can bring along my renowned Poo Cake!!!!!!!!!! We also held a virtual Fancy Dress - you can be as outrageous as you wish in a virtual party Come along on Friday and join in the fun - anyone who wishes to donate can send a cheque -payable to MacMillan - to my address. Just PM me on the day. Edited September 30, 2006 by Guest

Cate in NZ
I've got one you can borrow if you like Phil No starch needed these days with the advent of plastic aprons and no hats Great idea Lesley I'll do my best to be there. (I might pass on the poo cake though )
Popcorn
Well...between Phil, Lesley and a few flour mites I'm not sure I'll be eating anything at this rate. Phil are you sure you won't put the rest of the gathering off in that nurses outfit Maybe theatre gown's would be a better choice
Cate in NZ
Phil are you sure you won't put the rest of the gathering off in that nurses outfit Maybe theatre gown's would be a better choice Please tell me you're thinking theatre pyjamas Gina, as worn in ER, Scrubs and operating theatres around the country... (often accessorised with welly boots and paper hats ), but on the right person can actually look bizarrely good (I'm thinking of a certain Greek obstetrician whom I used to know ).... as opposed to the knee-length backless theatre gowns that the patients are required to wear. I've seen those modelled by any variety of poor souls.... and believe me, no-one looks good in them
Popcorn
as opposed to the knee-length backless theatre gowns I would choke on my tea if Phil turned up in one of those!
Mrs Frugal
the knee-length backless theatre gowns that the patients are required to wear. I've seen those modelled by any variety of poor souls.... and believe me, no-one looks good in them I've seen too many too Kate especially when the poor soul doesn't realise that they ARE backless and that they are displaying everything to the rest of the ward ! Done it myself so I shouldn't laugh !
