Jules.
What did you think of tonight's episode?
Seagazer
I ended up reading the newspaper my YS and OH seemed to enjoy it though. Although OH did think they'd added too many silly bits.
Chickvic
Thought it was a bit weak to start with (on the bus?!!) enjoyed it though - we are all big fans!
sandyhas3chucks
was at vets waiting for vigin to get it on catch up, or watch on laptop.
Snowy
Missed it Was worried it might be too scary for the littlies so we turned over Sounds like I needn't have done
Guest
I don't think it was scary - James doesn't usually watch this as it's far to scary for him (even after all these years I can't believe something like this is shown so early!!!) BUT I was out in the kitchen with my visitors (Couperman & Couperwife!) and he came out and started going on about a bus and stuff - well I was confused as I didn't remember a bus in Finding Nemo (he had been quietly watching this for AGES) and then I realised he'd been watching Dr Who. It wont be something he does regularly though - last time he wanted to watch it because the other kids like it he was terrified and didn't sleep properly! Bassett
I really enjoyed it and am savouring the last few shows with David as the Doctor!!!!! I was pleased it wasn't scary as my DS was desperate to watch it, so he can see the video tomorrow.
sandyhas3chucks
i watched it as a child terrified from behind the sofa, but would never miss it. TBH I was quite shocked(as an adult) the 1st time saw that kids film with the wooly mamoths. but not seen tonights yet. And the news is pretty scarey & real! As for the awful things on deadenders when kids might be around. I was petrified by the cybermen most, but good wins out in the end on Dr Who. not a bit like real life,. Is that good or bad, I mean if we had Daleks etc etc would be pretty bad even if Dr Who wins out in the end. Soreee getting carried away!!!! ater weeks worrying about chooks some fantasy Dr who is just what I need. going to see if it's on catch up yet! Cinnamon
Hmmmmmmmmmmmm, well, I quite enjoyed it, but it was a bit daft, the flying bus & all that. Very Harry Potter really I did like Michelle Ryans character very much. She was so different from the usual female leads, & I suspect she will be back in the future (or even the past!) A perfectly reasonable way to spend a relaxed hour on a weekend nonetheless.
susanbb
I liked the woman who could "predict" The flying bus was fun. As much as I enjoyed it ,it was rather hyped beforehand.
Cinnamon
She used to be in 'Teachers' (brilliant series), that woman, & 'The kenneth' from the first 2 series of Skins was on the bus too
Jules.
I liked it. I had no idea that Lee Evans played one of the characters till I watched " Confidential". Just to see DT back on screen was good enough for me

Bantambabe
Loved it, love David Tennant, not much more to say is there? Not looking forward to the change to Matt Smith, although I'm sure he's a perfectly fine actor. But then, if it frees DT up to do more stage that's even better - he was fab as Hamlet Found a lovely picture of him for my laptop wallpaper on the Dr Who site today - how sad
alih
Jules I miss your picture! Loved it, love DT, wish I was 10 again so could write to Jim'll Fix It to be his assistant for a day ( or a year), although would not look too hot in that catsuit thing.....I too am a big fan of the programme and am sure will shed a few tears when DT finally leaves. But am wishing for an episode with The Master back again...Dt and John Simm in one programme is too good!
Bantambabe
My kids have a theory that the Master is coming back and will sound DT's demise - when John Simm was burned on his funeral pyre his ring was left which had the same markings as the fob watches the Time Lords use to hold themselves when they become human. So kids theory is that Master transferred himself into the ring, and his missus picked it up. Then the "psychic" woman on the bus last night said that "he will knock 4 times" at which the kids started drumming out the beat that the Master had in his head - which had 4 beats (sort of dah, dah, dah, dum) You can probably tell we're a bit Dr Who barmy in our house. Jules.
Jules I miss your picture! Me too! Bantambabe what a fab theory you have, I had forgotten abot the master. It sounds like that could happen "Dum dum, dum dum"
alih
bantambabe your family sounds just like mine! Our kids spent all yesterday discussing possible theories and came up with one remarkably similar to yours....and did you see RTD saying that what happened to the Dr was "truly horrible"? Can't wait - proper storytelling for adults and kids in one programme - it's genius!
bellekatz
As I understand from an interview in the telegraph with Russell Davies, the Doctor has nightmares before his "end", as his time is running out and that is where the master *may* appear! Kids they are funny aren't they? when mine was little hmmmmmmm all those years ago, he was fine warching Dr Who, but couldn't and wouldn't watch the kids program Transformers.(cartoon!) Gave him bad dreams! loved it. sad DT is leaving and going to savour the "specials", any one know if the next one is the last?

chickencam
It was rather silly but entertaining all the same and as others have said David Tennant is all we need Lee Evans was brilliant as was Michelle Ryan.
jlo
sad DT is leaving and going to savour the "specials", any one know if the next one is the last? On DW Confidential (Yes - I am sad enough to watch that too!!) the producer said that there would be one in Autumn and then a two parter at Christmas when DT would be leaving. Russell Davies said that it would be a lot scarier! I think that my mother is the only person I don't know who doesn't like DT. She is quite funny though cos she says that he has only three expressions ; manic. gurning and concerned! I have told her that she is in a minority - I believe that he is a great actor and has been a perfect Doctor
