Penguin
My eglu and new babies are coming soon - but not soon enough! I have to wait until 13 June! I am having a and and . I've even started a Chicken Countdown in my classroom so that I can see the number of days getting smaller and all my students can share my excitement (and they're not even primary age - my tutor group are all 17......). How is the best way to tell my boyfriend that he will soon be sharing his garden with them - I haven't quite got round to telling him that they're on the way .......! badgerbluebadger
Just mark the date on your calender at home - I bet your Bf doesn't ever look at - that way when they come you can say I am sure I told you and the date is on the calender! Ain't Nobody Here
Congratulations, Penguin . You'll just have to spend all that time till 13 June reading up on chickens and buying lots of chickeny paraphenalia . It can't be normal to go to sleep and wake up thinking of chickens and Eglus can it?! Yup, perfectly normal (round here at least ).

Olly
Welcome to the forum. You know the format ... just wait till he gets home and sees them, and then say 'Chickens? Oh, those old things - no, I've had them for ages, they're not new!"
mostin
Poor you , all that time to wait, but how fab , that they are definitely on their way. OH's always come round in the end. Mine said he wouldn't have anything to do with the chooks, but he has just built them a walk in run, spends a lot of time in the garden with them, and he's a member of this forum now too . Don't worry, chickens are addictive, they get everyone in the end
