Janty
I've never been brave enough to hatch myself. The babies came from the lorry crash in Essex.
Chickvic
Don't fancy it at all? I would like to but not until we've won the lottery and can move How old were the babies when you had them?

Janty
The babies were 4 weeks old when we picked them up. They were sexed quite accurately really - only one cockerel out of 19 chicks.

Good job you have lots of other chooks to keep you in eggs The babies are starting to lay now so we are getting a steady amount. Dad was very happy with his basket of eggs that he took away with him today.

Egluntyne
5! You will be a bit short of eggs for baking. My broody girl snapped put of it after three days in a borrowed dog crate. I can see that borrowing 5 might be a tad tricky.
Janty
I have one in the rablu run with the door to the rablu closed. I have one in the eglu run with the door closed and two bantams not very happy but together in a run that I've built. The fifth one will have to remain broody until a space is available. Janty
It's a real pain when several get broody at the same time. I run out of places to isolate them.
