Headchicken
Bottom, top, bottom, top (it's like they planned it) Too bad not all 5 can fit!! That leaves one girl to her own devices... Exploring the open nest box So apparently my girls prefer to roost on top of the divider! Only 4 can fit at this point (and I doubt they'll be able to get up there full grown). I used to use the nest box for storage, but I cleared it out and put in aspen so they could lounge if they wanted. Apparently, they don't care to lounge because every night they vie for a spot on the divider! Crazy chickens...

*mummy_hen*
They are such beautiful girls - they have such lovely little faces. Chickens are so funny...they certainly decide what they want to do, not what they should do!
Plum
That is brilliant. Lovely girls. The roosting bars are to keep the cattle out.

Barkisland
They are a hoot aren't they? Two of mine used to roost side by side in the round hole of the divider, but they are too big now, so only one can grab the prime spot! (I love RIRs too).
