When is an adult not an adult?

Recommended Posts

I know what you mean about cinema prices, here its £5.20 for a child and £7.20 for an adult, I tried to get a child ticket (and succeeded) for a U film, I got asked for ID! But when I try and see a 15 film I still get asked for ID.

I got ID'd at the cinema when I was 15, because I wanted to pay a childs price, because I was a child!

My response was that until I was 17/18, why would I need to carry round ID? I couldn't drive so didnt have a drivers lisence, couldn't smoke or drink, so didn't need ID :roll:

Does the council do any sort of subsidy for travel for those still in education?

We have these cards, but I think they are subsidised by the bus company and not the council.

If you are over 16 but under 18 and in full time education you will need a 16-18 Photocard to obtain child rate season tickets. To be eligible you must live within the West Midlands county. 16 -18 Photocards cost £5.00 and replacements cost £3.00. Both are issued by post

Tbh, I've never ordered one because I hardly ever use the bus and you have fill in a form and get it signed by your form tutor and get the school stamp and they always moan when they have to do them!

I got ID'd last year for a half of bitter in Dorset. I was 33!

I didn't have any proof of age ID as I'm so old!

I then had another half and told them I'd better leave it at that as I needed to be home in time for Teletubbies! They looked at me funny.

:eh: <-- like that?

I'm Joking hehe
