Yeehar! thought my cream legbar had been laying for a while, when there's 16 of them it's a job to know who's laying when and what, and thought I'd been unlucky and got the 20% that laid white eggs. Then yesterday went to sort the hens before work, glanced into the run and there, nearly buried, was a BRIGHT BLUE EGG!! Well, egg dance? I yeeharred, and whooped up the garden, luckily there was only the dog to see (hopefully not the neighbours! ) and so now I am very pleased with my legbar even if she is daft as a brush, and they all got extra corn before bed!

We never get to eat the blue eggs- because everyone else always wants them!

my girl, however, is in the 20% (Grrrr!), despite what seemed like green tinted cheeks when I bought her. Her eggs are light pink. Ah well!
