yuk - feeding fastfood to babies horror

Recommended Posts

It’s my glands. NO IT’S NOT ITS LOTS OF FOOD.

I’m big boned. NO YOUR NOT YOUR’RE FAT.

It’s in my genes. NO IT’S NOT.

I don’t eat much. OH YES YOU DO.

All my family are big. YES THEY LIVE ON DEEP FRIED PIE SANDWICHES AS WELL.

If someone was too drunk in a pub they would stop serving them. Apply the same idea. Stop serving them.

“Can I have a big mac meal extra large please”

“Don’t you think you’ve had enough already madam.

Stop eating rubbish. Chocolate is not a food group, neither are deep fried pie sandwiches. Walk to the gym rather than driving to the chippy.

Well said, Fred (or should that be Right Said Fred  ) .

Some more of my favourite quotes :? .

“Sometimes I’ll cook them a microwave lasagne."

I'm sorry? Cook  ?

"I chew the food first so they can eat it because they haven’t got any teeth yet."

Eewwwww :vom: .

"I think it’s best they try all kinds of food to see what they like.”

Yeah, all kinds of JUNK food :evil:

"she is too busy to properly feed daughters Deanna and Daisy and son Finlee. So she lets them eat her takeaways"

But she somehow finds time to go out and get the takeaways. Or are they delivered? That'll be why she's too busy to cook "real" food then - she's waiting in for the delivery guy  .

Did anyone see this lady on GMTV this morning? Apparently the story has been blown out of proportion (well, there's a surprise, eh?) and she's only giving the babies a taste of the foods as they are likely to be included in their diets as they grow older - NOT a main part of their diets. We're all encouraged to introduce babies to new foods and that's what she says she's been doing. The babies don 't live on a diet of fast foods, aren't overweight and appear well nourished. She has also managed to lose 10 stone, I think they said, so she's trying.

Well said Kate - the article was worded with the intention of provoking reactions such as those above.

Although I have to agree that it is tempting to jump to conclusions.

And I agree with Fred.

However, people on this forum have had themselves (slightly) misrepresented in the media (the more 'responsible' press as well), even though they are less of a target than this poor girl. Who probably just wanted her 'five minutes', or was possibly tempted with the promise of getting some money for her story.

It's very tempting to jump to conclusions based on what is said by the media but their intention is to sell papers and so the stories are always given that little bit more sensationalism than they really warrant in a lot of cases and we should remember that there are two sides to every story and both sides are rarely portrayed fairly in a newspaper. That's why I never buy papers anymore.

And don't forget lattes, they are definately an essential food group

It's a shame the story was such a load of crock, not because i want that woman to be that bad but just because we cannot trust our newspapers. Not that i ever read the Sun anyway, i wonder why people waste their money on it. I used to read the Independent but now i donate the money that i save from not buying papers to charity. We only buy the paper on a saturday and it lasts us all weekend.

You'd think the woman would complain at being misrepresented.

Em, that's just another example of media hype! Of course chocolate is a food group, along with cheese and ice cream  .

You forgot cake. The most essential group know to man! Existence is impossible without it.

:shock::shock: How could I have done that!!! Call it a momentary lapse :wink: .

A lack of cake will do that you know :lol:
