Ness3103
my dad was designing my wir yesterday and it's going to be quite large and beautiful he's started calling it 'Peckingham Palace' and is going to make a plaque in fact he's quite excited and is making it big enough for me to have 2 eglu's in it. (haven't told OH that yet ) I'm hoping to order my next week, (once i've checked my bank account) and have named it Lily my OH thinks i'm bonkers and a bit miffed cos i've named the chooks before i've got them too. just wondered if any of you had named your runs? Sheilaz
Yes, I have, it's not an odd thing to do at all is it? LSH worked so hard on the protection that he reckons we could keep a tiger in it, let alone keep foxes out. It's called Fort Knox, aka Chickenopolis. ali-s
My WIR at our previous house was called Eglutopia. My new WIR hasn't got a name but the area it is in is called Dingley Dell. Dingley Dell consists of a few trees, an enormous Redcurrant bush and leads down to a deep field ditch which I grandly call "our lake"
Jules.
"Fowlty Towers"
Janty
Our garden is called Omlet Village so the WIR when it is built is going to have an Omlet Village sign.
Egluntyne
Mine is called Hencatraz.
alet_chicken
Ours hasn't always had a name, but nowadays it's called Audrey Towers, on the insistence of a certain young lady...
quickcluck
WE are thinking one for ours also, we live in Cherry Tree Cottage so was thinking of Cherry Tree Villa or something similar!
wiblick
As all our ladies (I'm told) are going to be named after medieval women/queens the run is going to be known as Hampton Court... I hope the ladies look regal and not matronly now that OH has made this decision!
Ness3103
i'm sure they'll be very regal you're good letting your OH name them, i've named mine, although i haven't got any yet i've told the kids they can name the next lot although haven't told OH i'm planning on getting more yet
jonnysthedude
Hi, well, if your bonkers, so are most of the people on here. This chicken keeping game is so addictive, giving your run a name is perfect sense. Mine is latin for " House of Love" , good luck with it all, the only thing i cant get my head around is the amount of poo !!!
Janty
I haven't named the eglus and cubes in the past but my Dad has just offered to buy our purple cube for us so we are going to name that 'The Den' as his name is Dennis.
