Our new orangery looks so bare. It's finished but lacks something. What kind of art can I put on the walls in a bright room that won't fade? I'd hate to pay a lot for art that in two years time was trashed. I'm totally out of ideas. Any arty people out there?

Maybe something made from glass or even mirrors? Masks or similar made from wood, as that can be nice when it gets a bit sun bleached.

All the "art" in my room are posters and the back of my door is covered in photos of me & my friends

Are you a traditionalist or do you prefer the contemporary, modern look? Is the room south facing? What colours/wallpaper have you used used to decorate the room and also the room next to it? What size is the room? and lastly (you'll be pleased to hear) what are you using the room for?

Look for fabric which you can stretch over a canvas picture frame. Staple it on and you have a unique piece of art you can change easily when you want a change.

 

John Lewis have some lovely materials and lots of offcuts.

Ceramic pieces are good because the colours don't fade. You just need a few holidays to exotic parts to pick up some pieces. Or trawl the internet.

Blimey, lots of questions!!! Well it has a piano, dining table and a sofa in it. The room is North facing and gets sun in the morning and at the end of the day, however it is a very bright room! Does this help?
