Pro - Does anyone else's nest boxes get soaked in rain?

Well am I ever sorry that i said it can rain all night for all I care. The rain came down in buckets! Windy too. Lovely this morning though, sat outside to drink my coffee first thing. Not been a bad day all in all.

Looks promising here. Must get the grass cut if it holds off. The back garden is like the Serengeti.

So far so good! A bright morning with the possibility of showers.

It was hot & sunny yesterday followed by showers late in the afternoon.

This morning was sunny, then we had cloud and rain. Through the windows to the front we could see blue sky and brightness - at the back it is all doom and gloom - we seem to be slap bang right in the middle of the two! At the moment it is sunny and I have just seen a lovely Brimstone butterfly flutter by!

Absolutely pelting it down here and very very dark, got soaked when I went out to open the cube door.

Really rained tonight when we had to pick the children up from school! It's raining again now

Turned out to be a nice late afternoon - clouds gathering when the girls were tucked in for the night. I think we had summer. The robins are doing their autumn twittering - they used to do that in late August years ago. Even they know something we don't!

after a number of days, it finally stayed dry long enough for my sheets etc to finally dry on the washing line

Sunny now and windy - when the sun is out it is very hot - burning my neck as I hosed down the path just now. Lots of big fluffy white and grey clouds, but the overall gloom has gone - don't know for how long though.

Here it's lashing down; has been since 3.30 this morning when the rain coming in through the window woke me up.

Our bedroom is above our conservatory and it sounded like a river was crashing down on it

Chooks are still in their run and even though it's dry they are standing all bedraggled looking, gazing disconsolately into the rain. Even the jackdaws aren't here raiding the bird table.

Lulled to sleep by a gentle pitter patter. Woke up in the night to hear gentle pitter patter. Got up this morning to steady rain which then broke into heavy duty nasty stuff. Then out came the sun, sort of and now we have grey again. Whoopeeeeeeeeee

Well, after a shower in the morning, yesterday turned into a beautiful day! Sunny & hot!

A strange sort of day. Quite humid but it is breezy. I went to let the girls out this morning and came over all hot and prickly. Went shopping with the air con on! It's a bit better but I have the stormy headache which developed this afternoon. There are plenty of clouds, pale and boring - not quite blankety - there is a fair amount of blue sky, but the sun comes and goes - not been out for a while now. There were some ominous clouds earlier, but they seem to have blown over. The birds are very quiet, as I said on another thread, they are expecting something to happen.

I would think some localised flooding in places.....

Oh dear that sounds bad. It's all grey here now - quite quilty looking. Some really nasty stuff on the horizon, but as it gets closer it just goes dull grey.
