Valkyrie
Number one son has just had a job interview. The young lad that was interviewed before him went home after their chat, whereas DS was given a guided tour of the premises. He sounds happy and rather hopeful (he has been getting very depressed). But you never know - they might find someone better to fit their requirements, so please could you send some Omlety good vibes down the wires for him? They will let him know on Tuesday. Valkyrie
Cheers me dears - it hasn't been a pleasant time what with one grumpy man (now into his Meldrew moments) and one grumpy young man (frustrated that friends can do things and he can't afford to). It is working in a care home for the elderley - rather strange for a 19 year old you may think, but his work experience was at one of those and at the interview they asked him if he knew what "dementia" was. He said he didn't mention me! So thanks again one and all.

kitbag
Good luck!! I have a job interview for working in a cheese shop on Wednesday! I can't wait!
Valkyrie
Ooh good luck Kitbag - that sounds rather nice. Love cheese shops. They used to have a lovely little deli in Alresford that sold lots of local cheeses and another section for the rest of the world. Sadly it closed down and there isn't anything like it near here - just have to do the farmers market trips. But Reading is just minutes up the road (depends where - it's such a big place). Thanks Mark and Clootie - he is a really happy bunny today, I haven't seen him like it for such a long time. I really hope this works for him - he said that they interviewed him for 2 places, one of which he is unqualified because it is to do with nursing - but then he always wanted to be a doctor, so it might snap him back into study mode. Er, I do dream and waffle don't I.
