daj198
After our recent fox attacks, I've been thinking about getting an eglu cube with extension to keep the chooks in during the day and then letting them out to free range when I get home. I thought it might be a good idea to do some calculations on the ground area of the runs and discovered something strange. The eglu with converter gives the chooks more space than the cube with extension! Feel free to correct my maths. I calculated that... Cube without extension - 2.4m sq Cube with extension - 3.6m sq Eglu without converter - 2.2m sq Eglu with converter - 3.7m sq So why buy a cube with a run? Seems like a bit of a rip off to me, how can you get 6 chooks in a run that is slightly smaller than the run that I've got currently (eglu with converter)?! Space Chick
I agree the Cube run is very small (hence why I'm having a WIR built!), I think realistically you can only fit 3 in there, 4 tops. Although the cube itself is massive.
Falkor
The Cube run is taller so has bigger area and as it is taller you can add perches etc and therefore more space for your girls.
