thanks beauty is actually a replacement for my daughter Lucy's first chicken. unfortunatley she was killed accidentally by my dog after my eldest let him out by mistake. :( (he's a staffie called chunk) Lucy was out at the time so i managed to find a replacement before she found out!! luckily there's a farm round the corner from where i live and he had one which although not the same, she is close enough for lucy not to notice! and she has made a fab mum so it turned out ok in the end!

Chunk has now been trained not to try and pick the chickens up and they all share the garden quite happily! :D

They are lovely, do you know what breeds they are?

I had six chaucer bantams and six frizzle live eggs from a local farmers market. Although i marked the eggs before putting them with beauty my marks got rubbed off!!! two are definatley frizzles as they are already beginning to frizz up, not sure about the others yet, mainly because I dont know what chaucer bantams look like (can't fine them anywhere on the net???) and I have descovered not all frizzles frizz up! it doesn't matter though hoping to keep them all...depending on how many boys i get!

thanks fr your reply new to this!

I've never heard of Chaucer bantams, it will be interesting to see what they grow up to look like. They are such pretty colours especially the one with eyeliner :D beautiful chicks

no-one at the farmers market knew what they were either! I think thats why I got them for 80p. I will keep photos updated weekly so we can see what the end up looking like!

They look very pretty, very much like a campine or hamburgh?

Good Luck
