I was so eggcited yesterday, one of my Fentons laid a lovely blue egg

I told my colleagues today and for some reason they didn't share my eggcitement

So thought I'd share it with all of you

Is a fenton blue a hybrid or a pure breed hen

Fenton Blue is a hybrid, cream legbar with something else but can't remember what.

Mine are quite sweet looking with a little tuft on their heads. The one that has laid has more grey in her so I am hoping the other will lay a green egg.

Update- My first blue egg also turned out to be a triple yolker! WOW

The triple yolker was about the size of a medium egg with 3 tiny yoks in, she has laid since and the eggs have been rather small.

Today my other Fenton has laid for the first time so it's a 2 blue egg day and also a full house as all 6 hens are now laying.
