I have just been sorting out my utility room and other "odds and sods"drawers and cupboards and I cannot believe how many bags for life I have accumulated. I think it defeats the object when I keep buying them when I have forgotten to take any into the supermarket with me!

 

I have never taken one of them back when it has broken either so I really am being stupid!

 

I have now folded a load of them nicely and put them in a box in my car so I will never have the excuse again!!

 

I just wondered if I was the only numpty who kept doing this!

No I do the same even folding them and leaving them in the hall to take back to the car and forgetting and leaving them in the car too! - I sometimes wonder....................

I keep one folded in my handbag! Then I find when I need one I have got a different handbag so no longer have one with me

No you are not alone. I have lots and also have the permanent bags you can buy in the supermarket too. They seem to breed in the boot of my car!!

 

Thing is I use the normal supermarket bags as bin bags so when they eventually get rid of them I will have to buy bin bags. They are all plastic bags, so I wish they'd stop making us all feel guilty about using them.

I have just carried out a similar excercise in my understairs cupbiard..........i have twently bags for life and about 10 hessian/cotton bags!

 

They have all been put into the box in the boot of my car.....now I just have to remember to get them out of car when i go to the shops!

 

I also use the normal plastic bags as bin liners and to store my recycling before it goes out to the wheelie bin..........

I like the idea of trolley dollies, just havent got one yet it would be really useful collecting stuff at the plotment

I use the Trolley Dolly all the time but Carl is forever buying a new Bag for Life

 

He stops at the Co-op on the way home, buys a new bag, I fold it and put it by the door ready to go back in his car........I nag every day for a week.....and then they disappear

I would just forget the trolleydolly instead. I get my shopping delivered and carry a bag in my handbag/suitcase

I bought a cute little bag that is small enough to be a keyring the other day. Waitrose had them reduced to 99p. It is made out of the same sort of material as an umbrella, so probably not very green in it's own right, but it is so small and light that I should always have it with me. (in theory)

I keep a couple of bags for life in my handbag. I have so many in my boot there is hardly any room for shopping - I still forget them if I don't go to my usual shop though

I have an onya bag which is made from old parachutes, brilliant as it's small enough to go in my handbag and I always have it with me, it's so light too.

i have 2 onyas but have my shopping delivered mostly and use them for anything i need a bag for!

I like the look of the satchel/shoulder bags they look .

 

I have a standard one, but see they now do a larger one, suppose it wouldn't be as good for putting inside your handbag (depending on size of handbag) Mines a Kipling Fairfax, not not huge!
