Cinnamon
We went to see this last weekned, and I just wanted everyone to know what a great movie this is. Its a real action film - plenty going on to keep you amused, and Daniel Craig is gorgeous too The free running sequence at the beginning is fab, especially when Bond "follows" the guy through the tiny window - classic stuff! For me,who is a big Bond fan, this is the best movie in the franchise for a good few years......go & see it!
chocchick
Oh good, was hoping for a good review as will see it sometime soon. There was a picture of Daniel Craig on the front cover of Guardian2 wearing just swimming trunks emerging from the sea.

The Dogmother
We're going to see it on Saturday night (was just discussing it at work). I must say that Daniel Craig doesn't do it for me at all - be interesting to see if he's different in the film.

We have this picture up in our office and last week one of the students asked whos photo it was - a quick thinking team member said it was the secretaries husband and i backed him up - we kept this going for quite a while - v funny OH & I hope to see the film at the weekend or sometime next week. Bond films always look better on the big screen
Paola
I agree Clare. However I saw it last Sat and really enjoyed it. He has gorgeous blue eyes *looks dreamy* I was surprised how much I enjoyed it. I am a real Brosnan fan and thought that he had a few more films in him OH has the whole Bond collection on DVD and he even enjoyed it. The Dogmother
I must admit to having a good look at that picture myself But he's not my sort. Sean Connery in the later years was soooo sexy though - the ultimate Bond in my books. Sorry Daniel, but you just haven't got that dirty look Now Freddie.......... Nicola H
Hubby and i want to see the film but I think Emily who is 9 is too young to see it he says she will be fine, it is a 12A. Sarah can I ask did you take your children and do you think it would be appropriate for a 9 year old.......I have only seen a few clips and it looks like there may be quite a bit of violence in it, my 15 year old went to see it with his mates last weekend and can not stop raving about it, he says Emily will be bored because it is a long film............ For me,who is a big Bond fan, this is the best movie in the franchise for a good few years......go & see it! i am also a big bond fan, and we went to see on tuesday evening. its a top film and nice to see that it is a bit more true to the style in which bond was written. daniel craig doesnt do it for me, but i did think he played a good bond and the critisism he got before had should now be a thing of the past. it nice to know there are few more girl bond fans out there. a small claim to fame here...........a few years ago i met scaramanga (christopher lee)(my hero) he signed me a photo of himself playing scaramanga in, wait for it, GOLD PEN!!!!!! Cinnamon
Wow Laura, I am jealous! Scaramanga was just the best baddie ever,in my books The Hubby didn't want to see it as ,as far as he is concerned,Brosnan is Bond, but even he says that it was a cracking good movie & Daniel Craig is a great Bond. Nicola,we didn't take the girls, as they were away all last weekend.I wouldn't have a problem with either of them seeing it though, although they are a bit older (11 & 13) There is a nasty bit involving Bonds..er....bits & a harshly swung rope lash, but to be honest I think my girls would find it quite funny Daniel Craig doesn't do it for you........you are all mad (but then again,I like the dirty blonde rugged look!) Disappointingly, the sea & tight blue trunks scene is cut off to his waist,& that was the bit I was most looking forward too
Snowy
Hi all, OH and son saw this on Tuesday - are raving about it. OH says would not have a problem with 9 yr old seeing it. Just need to go see it myself now!

Cate in NZ
Son saw the film last weekend and raved about it....... pretty impressive from a child who tries hard to appear aloof and cynical. Enthusiastic isn't cool , unless you're on the football terraces it seems . He's dragging his Dad along this weekend so they can watch it together (cunning plan that, Dad buys the tickets ). That said I'm not sure that I'm bothered, never been a great Bond fan, so I'll wait until they show it on TV

Laura & CTB
I have admired him for his buff bod for a good few years now - he first bulked up for Tomb Raider,so I reckon its all him myself Thanks for that - I've been trying to work out where I'd seen him before! I really enjoyed the film, there was far more story and less gadgets than the previous ones and thank heavens they've given up on the long boring car chases. This one was definately more "man" action. Have him scrubbed and sent to my room
divinggatita
I took my 12 year old son to see this on Tuesday and we both thought it was fabulous! There was a 7 year old girl in the row behind and she didn't seem to fidget or get bored. It's not so much the age as what they aren't freaked by. Ryan has loved war stuff and blood from about 8 but still won't watch anything spooky, no ghousts for him!
The Dogmother
The Boy and I thoroughly enjoyed the film; loads of action and good old-fashioned thrills. Daniel Craig completely changes the Bond genre and plays the part well. Still not my sort, even in the swimming trunks, but he does have a delicious bottom lip
PurpleHen
Still not my sort, even in the swimming trunks, but he does have a delicious bottom lip I'm with you on this one Clare - we went to see it last night and I much prefer his lovely eyes to his body - but eyes have always been my downfall
