welovemarmite
anyone used this? does it actually work or do you need your sunglasses to walk in there... thinking of using it in our large workroom which could do with lots of light in there. ubereglu
Ooh, I've not heard of this. What does it claim to do?
Guest
Ooh, I've not heard of this. What does it claim to do? probably give the illusion of more "light and space"
chickenanne
I know the stuff you mean - it's meant to be matt but to still manage to bounce the light around (I've no idea how - it does sound a bit like marketing-speak). The colours it comes in are all fairly pale and clear if you see how I mean, so I dunno if it's the colour or the paint finish or what that would give the illusion of more space. Such a cynic, aren't I?! Not used it, but was tempted to in our poky, dark hallway. So, you should definitely use it and report back! Cinnamon
LINKY THINGY Looks interesting. Although my house is light,I would probably still give these a go, as we have low ceilings as its a cottage, & I like as much light as possible. I love the crisp, bright colours this comes in too. Lewis
Dad used this or something similar when we converted the loft. This one, you painted on pink and it turned to white as it dried, he used 'normal' white paint as an under coat, and you can really tell a difference and it does look like a brighter once its up and on the walls/ceiling . AJuff
Yes we have used this paint as our back North facing kids room was very dark. It has made a great deal of difference. I'm not sure if it's the paint or whether it's because we used a much lighter colour on the walls than before. I would definately use it for the ceiling again . . now that is bright and light! I wouldn't use it for the walls though. Just use a bright colour.
Groovychook
Yes! I have! I used it in my dark, north facing bathroom and I was very impressed with it... A beautiful, pale greeny-blue colour- how I would imaging Caribbean shallow sea to look! I did the ceiling & woodwork in paint from the same range and loved the result so much that I bought another colour to do the kitchen & dining room with! Big thumbs up from me!!!! missuscluck
We have used it too. More because the colour was bang on to match my daughters bedroom curtains. It really looks nice though. Very crisp and clean looking.
welovemarmite
THanks for that - will have a ponder. It does get quite a bit of light but thought as its a workroom the more light the better.
redhotchick
Whilst we are talking about paint..... http://www.ecospaints.com/ I keep meaning to try this, but usually end up grabbing something cheap in B&Q and forgetting to look for an alternative. welovemarmite
looks like my husband has his own views on the workroom. Light and airy it will not be !!! He has picked out some very dark colours instead....
