One Man Banned
Yesterday at work. Found the Christmas tree and a load of decorations and we all discussed putting them up in a tasteful fashion around the office. Now, I'm no fan of tinsel - in fact I think I can say I hate it (it traps far too much dust!) and my boss Lesley is no fan either but we found a box of it! Lets just say we were slightly bored last night and after we popped out for pizza we all were looking for things to do - then we just got plain silly! We dressed the tree and stuck the tinsel up everywhere we could with what we had and turned Hertz Bristol Airport into a Christmas Grotty Grotto in readiness for Lesley to go in at 7:00 this morning Have a look at the pics! I did ring in this morning to see what the reaction was - the tinsel has been removed (thankfully) but it did raise a smile Rule 1: NEVER let me be bored at work! A xx

AnnieP
I particularly like the circlet around the porthole window in the door! Classy!
The Dogmother
I hate tinsel too, and 'young spotty' at work always covers everything in it. So I delegated the Christmas decorations to someone else last year and chucked out all the tinsel.
Louise
My lot have a really classy inflatable tree that I won't let them put up as it is so tacky

Louise
Nor do mine as I am so mean to them If they wanted a nice tree with proper decorations even tinsel would be okay but that awful plastic thing
Paola
our lot dont bother with Christmas decorations I have seen lovely little trees that you could get for your desk in Paperchase (I think )
Mel (& Paul)
I dont have room for a tree on my desk - it is full of work I keep on thinking I can see the light at the end of the the tunnel. Then I realise its just another b****r walking towards me with a torch and more work
Charlottechicken
We don't bother with Christmas decorations in my office, can you believe a Government office has Christmas decoration do's and don'ts? There is too much red tape, "don't attach anything to the ceiling, don't attach anything to the windows, don't use blue tac or sticky tape on the paintwork" etc, etc. Then they wonder why we DON'T get into the spirit of things! chocchick
We went crazy with tinsel held up with lab hazard warning tape and made sure to decorate around the boys' computers. We had baubles too and the coffee room plant. We have 2 minature trees that are supposedly fibre optic that don't work very well. Telewest scared me when I was a temp, teams decorated the offices for Halloween as if it was Christmas with stuff everywhere

See, here is a nice tree with twinkly lights. Would you like some of these rather tasteful baubles?
