Does anybody else ever feel.....Part # 7

Recommended Posts

Driving was good, we did 'general driving' around, more duel carriageways, and my first manoevre - turn in the road (3 point turn) - he said my clutch control was good 8)

He said I'm ok sitting at 0mph, and then driving at 40mph, but I don't the accelerating in between so I need to get more confident at that. So we found a quiet road, stopped, slammed my foot down in 1st gear, same in 2nd and got up to 3rd to get to 30mph  just to show what I should be doing.

I don't have a lesson now until the 12th because of Cornwall and the dispatch course and a few other things.

Yes Cornwall - we're stopping in Wadebridge for a week, coming back late next week ready for rehearsals for Cinderella and then the dispatch course. We may be staying overnight in Bristol because of Dad's back, but he wants to get it all out of the way in one big go.

Anyone got any ideas what to do in Cornwall? (we can't do surfing or cycling because of dads back, and no massive walks either )

Hi guys :D

Sleepover was fun, went to bed at 4:00am and we ended up going to see the Time Travelers Wife today before I came home.

Cornwall you say  , you can tell what everyone is thinking

Yes

I've come back to a scandal!

Lewis and Laura :P......

Don't worry, I know you belong to TL

Welcome back Em :D

Aha aha ahaaaaa (sarcastic laugh  )

My brother booked Cornwall not me, and I won't be seeing Laura (or writing her messages in the sand *cough JJ*)

Cornish pasties sounds good - although I'm wierd and don't like onion so have to choose carefully  I might stick with the cream tea's!

I think dad wants to go to Padstow again to Rick Stein's fish & chip shop, which is next to the National Lobster Hatchery!

Dad can't go in the sea - he's allowed to go swimming at the gym because it's got a sloped entrance, and he has to walk backwards in the water so the water is pushing on his back for some reason ?

I've seen some argicultural show and farmers market, so thats another thing to do. Maybe go to Newquay zoo :)

.............We'll end up not doing any of it, but I'll try!

Clotted cream ice cream with clotted cream on the top - very dribbleworthy. Ooh ooh, and fudge. Goonhilly Downs is rather good over Helston way and around that area Gweek seal sanctuary - they have penguins (or used to). Watch the choppers and the sailors (well, that's a girl thing really) at Culdrose. Pendennis castle - just watch the tankers and ships rolling by. St Mawes is nice.

Is there anything else you like JJ?*cough Freda*

I've had a look at the Gweek seal sanctuary - might be worth a look :)

There was a seal sanctuary in Scotland, but when we were there they had no seals  - we didn't go in for a look

ooo, I've been to Gweek Seal Sanctuary, not for a few years though, can't remember if they had penguins or not. St Ives is nice, we went to the Tate there, bit disappointed with it, but it had fab views from the enormous window at the front. Had gorgeous salmon fishcakes in a little restaurant we found up a side street. Terrible weather when we were there though.

Just thought I'd say though I remember visiting Cheney Mill Farm Park...*cough* chickens...and sheep

You might also be interested in Mousehole Wild Bird Hospital & Sanctuary...in case the Cornish seals are out too

Gweek - sounds like Jonathan Ross saying the language of Greece to me

I've only ever been to Cornwall once, and it was for work, so I sat in a meeting then drove to Exeter for another meeting

I would like to go to Cornwall to visit. I fancied going to Rick Steins restaurant :D

I don't think Laura wants him either

But it would be nice for them to have a crazy thread meet for 2 next week. If I was in Cornwall, or North Wales, or Basingstoke, or Norfolk, or Derbyshire or Birmingham I'd try and meet with a forum buddy and you'd all be welcome to visit me in Neath :D

JJ - Your sister still not letting you all open her results tomorrow or has she changed her mind?

Nope, parents won't let me either...I have decided to go with your idea of steaming them open....but in the dead of night

*evil laughter*

I suppose if it's a thin envelope I could hold it up to the light

Oh, well... I only have to wait until Friday...then I'll know

You will be informed.
