Chicky
We've been on a two week holiday to Italy very relaxing then we get back and theres hardly any holiday left. My cousin who lives a long way away is coming to stay Sunday to Tuesday very excited shes 11 and im 12 but we get along like a house on fire. But i wanna see my mate who went to a different school then me last september. I'd like to meet up with a load of people but there isn't enough holiday left does anyone feel the same?? The next week gonna be fun and packed with a load of stuff but I wish we had two so I could fit more in!! I sound REALLY selfish. Note to one self:stop being selfish. I just feel like its gone to quickly.
Redwing
Wait till you grow up and go to work, then you REALLY don't have enough holiday!
Ain't Nobody Here
You're lucky . We went back to school last week . (Although we did finish early July .) Hope you enjoy the rest of your hols anyway .
Geoid
There is too much damn holiday! I finished early July and don't go back until the 9th!
ubereglu
There is too much damn holiday! I finished early July and don't go back until the 9th! I finished mid-June and know what you mean Fred! I go back on 10th September! I am quite enjoying it now though...having faced up to facts that I'm very unlikely to get a Saturday job before next summer now. Valkyrie
We haven't been away at all - apart from a sleepover at OH's cousins. Wish I had a proper holiday, Italy sounds really nice. Well, it won't be long till half term.
Helly Welly
Wait til you are at home trying to entertain your own kids for 6/7 weeks, then you'll wish the holiday lasted two weeks instead. Actually, i quite like the summer hols. We always go away right at the beginning so that there is still plenty of time left for other things. Guest
We haven't been away at all - apart from a sleepover at OH's cousins. Wish I had a proper holiday, Italy sounds really nice. Well, it won't be long till half term. It WILL be long until half term its 7 1/2 weeks! That is a very long time and has messed up all my year plans for units of work. Oh and we will all be ready to kill each other that last week!
Valkyrie
I know what you mean, but it does go quickly - 7 1/2 weeks is a big gap - must be shorter the other side of it though. OH's cousin's area have bigger breaks - a few weeks and then break up for 2, then a few more weeks, break up for 2 again, and so on (not exactly sure, but I think they have 6 terms instead of 3). Guest
No its 7 weeks the other side too - its a loooooong term! Both of the other two terms are neatly split into blocks of 6 weeks. What we need to do is....MOVE CHRISTMAS!!
Valkyrie
Crikey, that's rough then. I think you will need a little something to tide you over:
hillfamily
The holidays have flown past in the Hillfamily House...I can't believe everyone returns to college/school at the end of this week and I officially start by degree tomorrow and I'm still trying to load the software on my new computer I'm sure we'll get it all done and be ready but if anyone has got a Time Machine handy...... Janty
My horror of a son finished school on 4th July and he doesn't go back until a week after us...and he rubs it in constantly.
ubereglu
Good Luck starting your degree course Pam, what's it in by the way? We shouldn't move Christmas-we should just make the holiday slightly longer and the summer holiday slightly shorter!
