kez
We collected our two new girls today, from merrydale Poultry Christel (Snowbell) and Ysabel (Sweetie). They've both been in the Omlet run with a cardboard box for shelter, Liberty's in the walk-in run. Later, we let Liberty have supervised freeranging. All the grass in the garden and she sticks her beak in the run for their grass . Christel had a couple of words with her, then they were fine. I sprayed them all with vinegar solution tonight before putting them together in the Eglu for the night. No problems so far Got to get up early to separate them before they have chance to exchange views I'll post pics tomorrow!!! PS: I need a cream chicken icon Edited September 8, 2009 by Guest
xScrunchee
Looking forward to the pics I found introducing 2 new girls to one old one was far easier than introducing 3 new to 3 old so hopefully they will all be settled soon and getting on like best friends Congratulations on your new girls
Ain't Nobody Here
Congratulations . Look forward to seeing some photos . Good luck with the intros - I might try the vinegar trick when I put my newbies in the eglu at night (not been brave enough yet ) .
kez
Sorry, I think the pics will have to wait until tomorrow my computer crashed earlier, only just got it up and running. Anyway, last night went very well. I separated them at 7.15 this morning. Didn't seem like there had been any problems I've been holding both the new girls today - didn't expect to be able to do that yet I was holding Crystal this afternoon when this lovely 45g pure white egg bounced to the ground Luckily it had a nice hard shell
