ChirpyChirpyCheepCheep
Hello Patricia What about a Sainsbury or Tesco voucher. . . I know Sainsbury do a food gift card that money can be added to. I'm going to get the Sainsbury one for my ED. It comes with two cards, we keep one card and daughter can take the other. We can go online to check how much is left, add more money to it if needed (perhaps their parents would do the same). Just a thought Chirpy

Valkyrie
Someone gave a friend a book of mince - that could go with Clootie's pasta! Or a box of tins and jars of food packets of pasta, noodles, cook in sauces - mini hamper style that needn't be expensive.

Willow
I knew you would all come up with some good ideas. I'm tempted to do a 'student' hamper each with (some eggs of course ) a studently cook book with ingredients and maybe some quirky things like novelty bottle opener as well. It would be a good thing to get my boys involved in buying bits as they think these two lads are wonderful ! (age gap of 5 & 8 yrs between them and my two)
Willow
Our neighbours boy have both gone today. We gave them each: - box quails eggs - box of hens eggs (mixed blue and brown so looked pretty) - student recipe book - jar home-made plum jam - biscuit barrel filled with home-made biscuits (my youngest thought these looked suitably cool for students http://www.emmabridgewater.co.uk/ProductDetails.aspx?pid=UNJA467&cid=PATRWB&language=en-GB ) - lock and lock (is this right name ?) box of fresh baked apple muffins My boys feel they have done a whole days work with all that baking so are now resting Our neighbours lads were very pleased with the provisions Thank-you for all the suggestions they were really useful !
