lisaroo2
...have a quick moan? I feel awful... achy bones and a complete feeling of exhaustion. I was fine yesterday/last night, but have got up feeling yuk! I've had lots of rest today and have done basically nothing, I've jts not got the energy. I've had lots of drinks and thankfully my apetite hasn't dissapeared as yet, I'd worry if it did as I'm thin enough already. I'm so cross as over the summer I'd put some weight on and have tried really hard not to do too much to make myself ill - and now I am!!! Sorry to whinge, especially when there are people out there that are worse off...

lisaroo2
Thanks to you both! I'm snuggled up on the sofa with my laptop watching tv at the mo, waiting for husbie to come home. I've been drinking orange juice for my vitamin c and am just generally keeping warm and trying not to think about all the things I've got to do before monday!!! redhotchick
Hope you feel better. Garlic has a broad anti viral spectrum. A good excuse to eat lots!
Valkyrie
Hot lemon and honey is good for colds and if you really want to frighten it away, add some grated ginger - it looks disgusting as it floats on the top! You can use lemon squash or sliced lemon - but that is mainly for soothing sore throats and citrus = vitamin C - the ginger helps to fight the cold. But I had a really run down day the other day - I even went to bed in the afternoon - which isn't like me at all. So best thing is rest rest and more rest. For more vitamin C = green peppers (best raw for the benefits) and blueberries seem to be good for just about everything!

lisaroo2
Hi All Thanks for all your good wishes! I do feel abit better today, but have still spent most of it tucked up on the sofa!! Lots of drinks and regular paracetamol seem to be working. I'm still achy but don't have any cold symptoms such as runny nose, sore throat etc, so that I feel grateful. I presume I've picked up a nasty viral infection from the kids at college. Thanks once again and I hope you've all been able to enjoy the nice sunny weather with your chooks!!!
