Does anybody ever feel ..... Part # 9

Recommended Posts

Morning all.

I've been to the docs with Dan this morning. I sent dad around for 8am - tis hopeless getting through on the phone - he got an appointment for 8:30am. I had the world's fastest shower, got dressed super quick, then blasted my hair with the dryer. Luckily hubby hadn't left for work so he dropped us off in the car.

Guess what the doc said? It's a virus! Good to know it's not on his chest though.

I had a 'feeling old' moment though, as it was a new doctor and he seemed to be either the same age or younger than me. I still expect doctors to be older than me.

No more vampire books/films for you Debs :shameonu:

... I was just walking out of school to go home and the head came over and summond me

and the technician to his office :eh:

... "Lewis, do you like chocolate cake?"

 - its his birthday so we were round the board table in his office and had birthday cake - nice way to finish the week!

He seems a bit better, we've been doing colouring in this afternoon and my parents came round to see him. My mum shared a big orange with him. He ate a boiled egg for his lunch too and we're treating him (and ourselves) to fish and chips for tea.

He's still talking in a bit of a feeble voice though, and sounding like Darth Vader.

Typically he's just fallen asleep on the sofa  I've been trying to persuade him to have a sleep all afternoon, and hubby should be home with the chips soon, I also need to go wake Olly up - he's been asleep since about half 1, and he'll probably wake Dan up, and then there will be screaming and crying all round. Oh the joys of being a mother.

Hi guys and girls.

Ooh so much I have missed (Yoda again  ).

Sounds like the little munchkin is getting better - it wasn't until later in the evening I knew what I had forgot to mention. I had a sore throat and it got worse as the evening went on, so I couldn't find any lemon proper, but I did have some bitter lemon (for my fidgety legs - always have that to hand now), so I guzzled some of that (nice comfy night with no fidgets) but I did have a spoonful of honey before I turned in. It seemed to do the trick and I haven't had a sore throat at all since.

Well done Lewis. One brilliant school report coming up! :D

So whatsup in this camp here? Not a lot, but I managed to get hold of Erin's washing at last - it decided to walk to the machine on it's own. Created havoc on the stairs because some bits were too impatient and trampled on the slower items. Took mum to Mandy's farm in Whitchurch to get more veg. MORE VEG!!! I have run out of spuds and onions and there were lots of other nice home grown veggies that I haven't got. Nice trip in the sun, cloudy on the way home.

Then mum did the ironing and I did more cleaning and sorting out the utility and all the chicken bits.

Then takeaway Friday again. Murray went into the kitchen and started muttering. Went like this: Why hasn't anyone emptied the bin, it's not exactly rocket science or is it.

I said nothing, but the next time he leaves the empty loo roll on the holder without replacing it I might just repeat his very words. The other alternative is to swap the smaller recycling bin so that there won't be so much put in there and I can easily take the bin out - otherwise the present bin is so big and heavy. So I went to put some little bit of rubbish in and found he had stuffed all the rubbish from the takeaway on top. Obviously it IS rocket science after all.
