Early morning posters

Always a leg sticking up too in the last throes of death  Just to remind you what it was before you battered it to a pulp. I find they climb in the duvet covers I hang on my whirly washing line (doesnt whirl much) and I either iron them or batter them when they appear when i'm in bed :vom:

One day my ED had her vegetarian friend round and they were admiring our lovely sweet Ziggy outside the patio windows when she splatted a daddy long legs against the glass and then crunched it. Her friend went off cats

I hate going outdoors first in the morning at the moment because of all the spiders webs that get spun overnight and have a huge stripy spider in the middle :anxious:

We had a huge Fred walk across the lounge this evening. I think he's hiding under my quilt! Oh well, he'll have to walk somewhere else when I get back to it!

Daddy long legs are supprisingly hard to swat - when we were young (BC) OH tried to kill it, thought he had and popped the "body" in the bin in our bedroom - it had been bouncing off us and buzzing around in the middle of the night. Lights out back to bed. Bzzzzz. Wretched thing was still alive and buzzing the plastic liner. Swat. Back to bed. Bzzzzzzzz! Not kidding, it took OH 5 times to do it properly - by that time we were wide awake!

I can't wait!!

I would love to lie-in 'til mid morning but my body clock doesn't work that way. I quite like being up early, even on holiday :D - perhaps I should say 'especially on holiday' :D

Me too - when we went to Devon in October I loved being up before anybody else and watching the sun rise over the rolling hills, it was very cold though, but special just being on my own. :D

We will be in a cottage, one of a stretch of four cottages, spread out - looking straight out on to the sea and a very quiet beach. Just a 20 second walk onto the beach.......we're looking forward to blowing the cobwebs away...... and watching the sunsets....

I've had a lie-in

Although we were kept awake until the early hours in a hotel just outside Blackpool, we slept until 7.08  Moving on to Anglesey this morning ..........I'm hoping for quieter nights :D

I'm making the most of the hotel broadband - I will be using the dongle and dial-up via mobile from now on.
