chick wiggle
After catagorically saying I dont want any more chickens until next year I am weakning. What is going on with you lot?? All these beautiful new chickens, now I'm wanting mine now! I have a house and everything and my OH is no help as all he says is 'if you want them, get them' lovely I know but does nothing for my self control So, does anyone know where I can get silkies, frizzles and lavendar pekins? These are what i have coveted forever. PS obviously willing to travel a couple of hours within a chickens travelling distance if that makes sense
Chook n Boo Mum
Can't help with specific places, but if they are too far from you, we could maybe organise a chook train.......... Or is that not helpful Sha x

Chook n Boo Mum
My lovely breeder is all out of this year's brood, so can't help you with any from here, though I'll keep an ear out.......she did say however that if I have any chicks out of my Lavender Frizzle next year, she'd be very interested May have to arrange a weekend visit for Oak with her Lavender boy who is gorgeous...not sure Oak would agree though Redwing got ours from Shropshire I think, may be worth pinging her a PM to ask what he had available, her Frizzle from him is only 4-5 weeks old. cluckingmad
Long way away but pretty sure I saw all those as Wernlas the other week.... I'm no help, really, am I?! I faithfully agreed that I would only get 4 girls. Then it was "well, the poor little ex-batts have had such a horrible start in life and they really do deserve a chance, and if I can get an old rabbit hutch from somewhere can we have some please please please?" And finally, it was... sooo sad about losing Millie-hen, would really cheer up if we went out for a day to see some rare breed chooks, I'm only going to look honest, definately not buying. Definately. Absloutely not. Ooh look, how adorable are they?? Want want want, and oh look there they are in a carrier on the back seat and we're off home So my advice is... go get the babies!! After all, they all need nice lovely homes and if yuor OH is happy, well....

I wonder who it is although we haven't more room unless we give up all of our garden and alter our plans of using our coop as a feed/chicken bits and bobs store. Sorry Sandie, I won't hijack your thread with my pondering.
SallyD
Hi Chickwiggle. Have you had any luck finding a breeder? chick wiggle
Thanks for your help guys. Have you noticed the amount of new chickens just lately! Plum, green acres is really too far and babara quinn only sells eggs by the looks of it on her web site. Egluntyne, will probably give Storrs a ring, and BTW you wouldnt believe the places i have to get my lorry up! But, admittedly that lane would probably be pushing it a bit Redwing, I know I am computer stupid but i couldnt make head nor tail of pekinheaven web site never mind find anyone selling on there I have been scouring the back of my practical poultry and Im going to ring a few breeders from there tommoro, if I find any SallyD I will let you know. Space Chick
As the unofficial WIR mathematician. I can tell you Cooks, that 12ft by 6ft is 72 square feet which equates to 6.7 metres squared, so nearly enough for 2 more LF, and if Em would have anything to do with it about 7 bantams Add a pasting table, and you are sorted for 2 more and 1 square metre per girl... Simples! Chick Wiggle, its like an Omlet pay it forward, if someone from the forum leads you astray, you have to lead another forum member astray. This is my Palmer07 pay it forward Edited October 4, 2009 by Guest
