Does anybody ever feel ..... Part # 10

Well done - I love rowing and canoeing (although I gather not the same canoes as you). My Canadian cuz when he lived in Vancouver had a kayak - he loved going out to sea with it, until one time he was caught in a tide and he just about managed to get back to safety. It made him realise how mortal he was! That's the one in Faversham. Ooh his sis is coming over this week and is hoping to meet up somewhere half-way. This time she's bringing another cousin on her dad's side. Why did my family not go out there - garghhh! Murray wants to go for a mini break next year - hmm, I wonder if we can get to Toronto again. Toronto/wrecked house/Toronto/no parents party/Toronto/OK I'm staying home.

You can hire canoes to go up the canal here and Erin had been pestering Murray the other year, so off they went. She got in, but landlubber Murray wouldn't bend his knees and the next thing she knew she was sitting in water. He sank the boat. Story of his life. I can't tell you how many times he has had to be rescued by me when out rowing - with me in a different boat (usually grounding himself)!

Guess where my brother has been sent for work this week? Wales! But I don't know whereabouts though.

The time will fly by before you know it Laura - stick to it, don't give up like my boy. Muzzah usually goes to Germany in January - there's a huge carpet/flooring thingy there. Hmm lovely (not). Then he went to Holland - carpet factory. Hmm lovely (not). I wonder if there's a chicken convention somewhere nice and warm we could all go to? Hmmm lovely (yes indeedy).

I didn't mean it Chiccyviccy - come back!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Oh oh, got to go.

Take care and nighty night.

Phew! Morning all. I spotted one of Erin's friends in the local newspaper last weekend. He queued to have his David Attenborough book autographed - apart from the hair he is very much like our Lewis - even sharing the same name!

I see notes that my husband is booking flight tickets to Belgium now - sneaky bloke didn't tell me. Hmmm Belgium carpets lovely (not)

Well we seem to like the pumpkin seeds - I cut it in half and they are all diving in. Sort of success. Now if only they would start scoffing the flesh.

Morning all! It's Danny's birthday today, he's now a big, grown up 5!

Still not feeling great, didn't get much sleep due to coughing almost constantly. We also had Olly in with us for the third night in the row. Wish I could go back to bed, but I don't think Olly would let me 3.gif

I don't think I have grown up from being 5 in all honesty

Yes, I can remember being 5, but it does help that most of my friends are the friends that I had when I was 5, so it only takes one story from a friend for it all to come flooding back  Like the time me and my best mate got in trouble for putting water in the sand pit at school

I seem to be able to remember quite a lot when I was young - even as far back as being imprisoned in a cot in my mum's lounge - they were sitting by the tv - my dad in the armchair and my mum on a stool in front of the fire - I had to resort to tricks to get attention. I think I must have been around 1 just over because I could stand up, but not 2. I also remember my mum pushing my pram - it wasn't raining, but the covers were up because it was cold. I even remember the coat she wore - green with big buttons. So my memories at 5 are very good. I have always been able to remember those early days - I can't remember what I was doing last week though.

Happy birthday Danny
