Does anybody ever feel ..... Part # 10

Recommended Posts

Poor Henry, fingers crossed here.

Had a good night. Young fellow my lad was staying with a friend overnight up in London. Apparently my little spy said they were in a gay bar. Not a problem (perhaps I was supposed to react to that snippet) - his friend actually is gay. The only thing that worries me is if they get pounced on by other people outside - which is something I tend to worry about wherever they go at night.

Anyhow morning all, and the artichokes seem to affect Murray more than anyone.

Afternoon everyone :D

I hope Henry is better soon.xxx

Just got back from a rememberance march with guides.

They close the road in the village and we walked from the school to the monument in the middle of the village, had a service then walked back.

Me and my friend got asked to escort the flag this time so we were walking right behind the army's marching band...the army guy was shouting at them really scarily and loud and then turns to me and my friend and asks us to move up a bit in a very nice gentleman way

It was a good service but one of the air force cadets got taken away for laughing at a blind woman who fell when she laid her wreath on the monument :(

Got back to the school and our headteacher was there... he asked me and my friend if he knew us from somewhere :wink:

I am off to fine something warm to wear and get a cup of tea....it was freezing outside.

JJ - you'd think your headmaster would know you :x

What a terrible cadet though, laughing at the blind woman. I always get really emotional at remembrance services, people always go on about WW1 and WW2 which is very important "lest we forget" and all that, but I sometimes think more recent conflicts, including whats going on now tends to be forgotten at times. We need to remember all our service men and women, past and present. I wear my poppy with pride :D

So, for the Henry update...

Well I've been to the vets, the vet has said its a nasty stomach bug.

They gave him an injection, have given me a water solution for him to drink, and a liquid to syringe into his mouth. He has been getting VERY stroppy over the liquid as it must taste awful :(

The vet is confident that it is nothing sinister though. :)

I am shattered now though

Glad Henry'll be ok :)

No Birthday cake for you + your head teacher then JJ?:lol:

Just cleaned out the pilly pig and let the chooks out for a bit :)

Need to do my personal statement now - they don't need to be in until 15th January but school wanted them all in on Friday - it didn't happen  They won't have had time to check them all so it'll be fine.

Ah the best medicine always tastes worse. Glad he's going to be OK. Why is my screen flashing when I write. Perhaps it's seen Erin moonying with her builders bottom and felt left out. :? Ooh all the smileys are twinkling too. Oh dear what have I done?

I have a feeling that they would have laughed even if the person wasn't blind - seems to be a human reaction  , but a little bit of control should have been in order at a time like that.

I am off for a bath. We had 2 little butternuts from the garden - they looked like pears! But they went into a soup with a butternut that I bought from Mandy's farm last week and it all tasted delish.

Ta ta for now.

Hi peeps. Night peeps. I have a bit longer on here to play.

Can't meet cousin this visit - too many crazy things in the way. :(

Our thermostat in the hall started making funny noises - I looked and it was turned onto the wrong mark - we were told (when we had our new boiler) that it was now redundant as we had thermostats fitted to all the radiators the setting must always be on high. The man who came to fix it the other week set it to half way. No wonder the radiators seemed to cool quickly. This evening they all turned themselves off until I fiddled with the thermostat again (hear funny electrical buzzzzzzztickbuzzzzzztick). :anxious: Have to keep a check on that to see if it does it again - otherwise it'll be "oi, plumber boys, sort this out properly".

Oh I just love Kung Fu Panda. I hasten to add that should anyone hide biccies on the top shelf I would get a step ladder and not climb up and do the splits to get at them. Of course if they are bourbons, yuk, or garibaldi (dead fly biccies double yuk) I wouldn't bother.

Been watching Ray Mears doing the Canadian exploration. Very interesting. It only became a country in 1867 - which means my cousins were born before their country was 100 years old! Sigh, wants to go back again. Then we watched a film and I said, oh it's raining - must be Vancouver. It didn't say, but it was filmed in BC! I'm getting to know my locations (think I'm doing a dad - repeating myself - crikey - I'm an old fogey!). :shh: Don't tell Scramble I'm rambling again.

Debs - what happened to Cardiff then??????

Morning all! Good luck Erin.

Had a good weekend, we took Danny to the cinema for the first ever time, we saw Up. It was fab, nearly cried a few times.

Danny's going over his friends house from school, so I don't have to go pick him up. Won't know what to do with myself.
