Sorry, I have no idea, I never knew and I still don't know what I want to be.

Or something funny that a child would say, I know someone that went as a crayola crayon! - Complete blue clothes, blue face paint and a pointy hat, with crayola written on the t-shirt in permanent marker

I have an enduring memory of part of an advert from many years ago (can't remember what was being advertised, so the rest of it can't have been much good) where a young lad was portrayed as wanting to be a slug. That's the thought your theme has conjured up, and until I can get past it, I'm afraid all my suggestions will be useless.

Just found the pictures on facebook, 3 people went as different coloured crayola's.

 

Yellow shorts, yellow vest top thing, cover everything else in face paint, and make a tip with a big peice of card rolled into a cone

I guess almost any occupation, you just need a hat and a few accessories.

 

Personally I always wanted to be a librarian when I grew up, because firstly I thought I'd be able to read all the books I wanted and secondly I loved that big springy stamp thing they used to stamp the library tickets with!

Yes, must see pics. It's a fab idea one to bear in mind for future dressing up parties. So far when I ask Danny what he wants to be when he grows up, he either wants to be Batman, a Power Ranger or a Jedi Knight. For a while he wanted to be a binman, or a roadsweeper driver.
