Lavenders_Blue
So proud of my girls, less than a week after being rescued they have been out in the garden digging lovely big holes to sit in today. Two girls have between them dug a selection of different holes (presumably to try them out for size?) and have been having a bash at dustbathing for the first time. Of course the problem is that it is raining today and they are getting all wet and soggy, as is the ground. I can see that by this evening they will be like 4 little hippos wallowing in mud rather than 4 fluffy chooks having a lovely dust bath. Oh well..... jimnpaula
My Amethyst seems to be queen of the dust baths around here - it's just the first time she did it she enjoyed herself so much she didn't stop and got cold and damp Eventually we picked her up and put her in the sunshine but she was still shivering. 15 mins later she was looking about at the kitchen while being wafted with the hairdryer! Laura & CTB
Sounds like your girls are having a lovely time. I must admit being horrified the first time I saw Stella my white star gaily rolling around in her "dust bath" after it had rained all morning but she was obviously enjoying herself
