On-line diets?? Any good??

Recommended Posts

Is anyone on here a user of any on-line diet plans? (Mods feel free to move this into healthy eating chat but I wondered if more people might see it here)

Looked at a few with a view so signing up as I would find it difficult to get to a meeting once a week at the moment.

Ideally one with weekly plans and shopping lists would be helpful.

Keep having a go then get totally off track. I need a plan!!

Anyone having success with one?

Perhaps if we leave it here a couple of days for replies, & then I'll move it to the other section to continue, if that's OK?

Please do join in on "Healthy eating chat" topic too though. We're all in it together there, which really does help when motivation & inspiration take a dip.

My OH's sister and BIL were following the T£sco diet plan and did really well with it before their wedding in July. It gives you a shopping list every week, but did contain some strange combinations of food. :?:?

Good luck. I found 3 meals a day and exercise worked for me a few years ago when I shed 96 pounds. Me in lycra = not a look, but it did the trick.:wink:

I losta couple of stone with weight watchers online, but slipped back into old ways soon after. More recently, I have started losing weight by increasing the dog walks by half an hour each walk, and by giving up my evening wine and snacks after the children are in bed. I've hit a wall at the moment though. I might have to go investigate the half stone challenge!

 Sorry about the cake. It is quite nice!

Im not rushing in to anything and am mulling over all the options. Wondered if anyone had any experiance with the Tesco diet. Its not too expensive to join.

I have done slimming world before for a few months attending the weekly club get together and lost 1 1/2 stone so I wondered about slimming world on-line. I bought a slimming world magazine today and had a look through it. There is a week long plan in the mag. Some of the evening meal recipies look good but it falls down flat for me when you are supposed to have fancy breakfasts and lunches with lots of cooking. I have to leave the house at 8am to get the kids to school and me to work and at lunch I cant do anything other than a sandwich or salad in a box.

Theres no way I can prepare all the suggested stuff however the basics of the plan are good and I know they work.

Well done to all of you who have lost some excess poundage :D

Pre diet treat tonight is a big fat takeaway curry. Hubbie is just on his way out to collect :D

Blimey. How long did it take and what exercise did you do? That's impressive!

Hi, I used the Tesco diet site a year or two ago. I thought it was really good I lost about 10lbs in 6 wks or so which is all that I wanted. It was well thought out & lots of helpful feature such as shopping lists. I used the vegetarian plans & thought the recipes were really good but perhaps they could become monotonous after a while. Doesn't stop the weight creeping back on tho' Good luck with whatever you chose.Ax

8 months. 3 step classes a week, 3 circuit classes, 3 exercize videos, hips, tums and bums class twice a week and the gym mon-fri for an hour each day. Exhausted, just writing that now.

Woo HA!!! Did you build up to that?! Or did you just weep like a baby girl for the first fortnight? That's BEYOND hardcore if it was 0-60 in a week! Were you not stiff as an ironing board musclewise for a bit?!
