Falkor
Hi All I have just stumbled across this and the reviews seem to be good. http://www.amazon.co.uk/Sew-Cath-Kidston/dp/1844007561/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1256303886&sr=8-1 I was a little dissapointed with the Make book as it told you how to embellish rather than MAKE. Anyone got it already? em x

Falkor
I have SO many projects in my TO DO book it is getting silly! But this wet and rainy afternoon seems an ideal time to crack on! Just need to check on the free-ranging situation, complete a quick head count and then I will start! (R&R, B&O and T&M are all out together and having a great time )

Do you really have a TO DO book Sha x Yeeeesssss, doesn`t everybody? My Craft TO DO book takes the form of a list in my Filofax (or as I like to call it "My bible, which if I didn`t have the whole world would stop spinning) which can be cross ref'd to my craft folder where I stash all my patterns and prints from this forum and various crafty blogs - this is indexed but if I explain that system you really will think I am a tad weird and control freakish! Oh ok.......you have already realised

henriette
Ooh, I could do with that book too! According to Amazon people buy all three: Make, Sew and Tips for Vintage Style. I reckon I could quite easily squeeze all three onto my sewing book shelf. With regard to the To Do Book, I use old envelopes so that if I don't get round to ticking everything off the list, I can just throw the envelope away and start again on a new one! Chook n Boo Mum
Henriette, your list is like mine...I usually have an envelope by the computer where I jot odd pieces of info & that's my brain for a while..........at the mo it's an A4 sheet, though that's getting smaller as I remove various phone numbers etc Re the Make book, it really isn't a "making" book at all it is simply a set of templates to make various shapes which you can stitch onto ready made bags, aprons, oven gloves, mittens etc, ...........if the "buy 3 books" price is less than the cost of the other 2 it would be worthwhile, if not I'd just buy the other two, unless you'd like a book of CK templates of course I've just been onto Amazon & the Vintage book isn't highly rated either Sha x

It looks as though I shall just be ordering one then Maybe that should be a come to think of it! Actually, at this time of the year I wouldn't buy it for myself anyway, but if an adoring loved one, daughter or son asked what I might like for Christmas, then I can now give them an idea. I am sure it will make it to OH before xmas but i reckon it will be lightly thumbed first! We can compare notes...when mine finally arrives....did you do free delivery Sha?
Chook n Boo Mum
No I ordered it via Amazon from another seller, it was cheaper even with postage & the same spec so as I've done that before I went for it. The confirmation email says Est Dispatch 16/17 Nov, Est Delivery 17 Nov - 1 Dec. It may arrive before yours..... The other bits I ordered (an OWL monitor and Wildlife Photography Portfolio for DH) are coming on Free One Day delivery so should be here tomorrow.... The other companies tend to be quite quick with their delivery & invariably you can get the books brand new or unread/as new for less even with P&P of around £3 per book....I placed an order once with about £30 of P&P & £10 of book price, the best price through Amazon or anyone else would have been £60+ just for the books I did find it a bit odd that I ordered 3-4 books from one seller though & they all arrived the same day in separate packages I'll let you know when it arrives, Sha x
Falkor
Just checked my order online and it says On van for delivery today I always forget to look at the other sellers on amazon.... EDITED TO ADD: IT HAS ARRIVED!!! Oooh and you get the stuff you need to make the bag on the front! Lunchtime reading
