Willow
How exciting Why don't you pop over to the All things Nice board and ask for some suggestions on what you can do in advance so you have time to spend with your parents rather than spending all day in the kitchen ? Seagazer
Oh thats so nice, we can tell how excited you are. Its lovely being able to spend time together. Thats the important bit to remember, especially if things go pear shaped in the kitchen I'm sure it will all be fine though

henriette
How really nice for you. Christmas is such a fun time when the family is together. You will be fine cooking for seven. As someone already said, just make sure you plan in advance and make plenty of lists If you are doing a traditional Christmas meal, most can be prepared in advance. I expect your Mum will want to help too... You must be so excited

Willow
You know M&S and others do really prepared prewashed veg - would save on one job If you're not used to cooking for 7 then take a good look in M&S and waitrose and others to see where you can make it easier
