drcara
Dear all, would be very grateful for any knowledge. I have to make some ivory butter cream cup cakes, for the frosting to be as ivory as possible I need to find some very pale butter (palest yellow the better). Does anyone know a brand that is paler than others or have any other recipes; I think I'll go down the cream cheese route, but the bride wants buttercream!! Help...Thanks
Space Chick
could you do half butter/half cream cheese? An alternative is getting superwhite powder.... http://www.windsorcakecraft.co.uk/www.windsorcakecraft.co.uk/info.php?p=0&first=1&search=super+white&send.x=35&send.y=15&send=Search You can add a few teaspoons to the buttercream. I've never used it personally but its supposed to be good

craftyhunnypie
A scandinavian or French butter would be pale. Try one from Aldi or Lidl! Emma.x

Chook n Boo Mum
Make your own from cream, that's pale, just add one small child to shake it til their arm falls off my DS took it as a personal challenge to convert a whole large container to butter by hand in a jar & was exhausted afterwards ............beyond that President as Christian has said is very pale Sha x
