Chick-a-doodle-doo
I should get the cube next week. Am slightly worried that I have heard some leak! but loved the look so much have decided to give it a try. My ex-batts are ready for collection in two weeks. I already have a few other hens but it's sooo addictive but really glad I can give a retirement home to some ex battery hens.. I hope you can keep me sane until I get my ex batts the waiting will drive me crazy.
docsquid
I had to wait for my cube and chooks, so I know how you feel! The cube is fantastic and mine, at least, doesn't leak at all. Good luck with the ex-batts.
brambles
That's really exciting! I've got a cube and an eglu. I've always found Omlet to be very helpful if I've had a problem. How many girls are you hoping to rehome?

Chick-a-doodle-doo
thanks for the replies. I am hoping for 3 ex battery girls. My husband is collecting them which is probably just as well or I might be tempted to bring back more!
Falkor
ooooh a PINK cube! I do love the colour but I wasn`t brave enough! the waiting is terrible! We will help you through!
poachedegg
I've had a since July 2008 and had no leaks Congratulations on your imminent arrivals - something to think about though, the ex batts may struggle getting up the ladder, so would be worth putting something at the bottom to help them up (up turned plant pot, box etc). You'll love both the cube and the chickens!
JanTheDiver
I've had my cube since the end of August and not had any leaks. I love it and so do my girls
karlotta
Congrats on your forthcoming new arrivals! I rescued some ex-batts in March and it was wonderful seeing them flourish! I've got a and two and none of them leak... So I think you should be fine! I think the key is getting them reasonbly level! Have you got any names planned? Chick-a-doodle-doo
hi thanks for your replies.. My names I have planned are Matilda, Ethel and Doris. I'm quite sad today hubby is already complaining about the pink! I nearly gave in and changed the colour but I live next door to the most miserable, boring Mother and 50 yr old son couple that I thought... GOODNESS I NEED A LIFE AND PINK IS IT.. Hubby is buying his new, expensive, bike so I thought I need something for me..
Chick-a-doodle-doo
Have found a lovely place for Just outside my kitchen window. So will be able to keep a close eye on them. OUr other run is at the bottom of the garden so don't see them as much. Can't wait for the summer and have them all out. Well, first things first, can't wait for my ex batts. 2 weeks today. Egluntyne
You'll have to change your forum name when they arrive.
Christian
Congratulations on getting your and good luck when your exbatts arrive Just one thing - they can be very weak when they first arrive and might not be able to make the ladder into the cube. Some people have made a ramp out of wood, to place over the ladder to help them up. Just for a few weeks until they are stronger
