Space Chick
Another time hey Phil is home later from London, so I shall be making his tea for his arrival, we are having Pork Satay, Roasted Peppers and Noodles I'd better start preparing the peppers as he's due home at 7.15ish, and they take 40 mins to roast I want to give him a big hug as soon as he comes in and have his tea ready and waiting for him. I can be such a 1950's housewife at times

Lewis
Lewis, I shall look out for you in your tight t-shirt at the Poultry Championships I'll be the one with a fried egg between my boobs (on the t-shirt ) and Omlet badges I've made a few t-shirts that I've printed for the shows, they're really easy to do, just make sure you leave it to cool after you iron it otherwise it just peels off
Space Chick
I'm getting rather excited now It should be a great day, get to see loads of chooks, and get to meet new Omleteers and spend time with ones I already know. I have the day off tomorrow, and there is a shop in town that does t-shirt printing, so I am going down to see about my avatar t-shirt (sorry PurpleTree )

Lewis
I need a new camera after the last one broke in London, bought a new replacement screen but can't fit it! ... but can take a few on my phone Just been to Pizza Hut for tea + then pets at home because my brother wants a hamster off one of his friends for Christmas ... Lewis thinks he should get gerbils or degu
Joojoo
Lewis thinks he should get gerbils or degu Definitely a degu (or should I say a pair as they can't be kept alone). They are the most gorgeous little creatures to watch and ours constantly make me chuckle. They are very intuitive and extremely clever at working out ways and means of getting what they want. They have a range of noises but mostly end up sounding like a squeaky dog toy FAR FAR FAR more interesting than a hamster Just make sure you read up on them first as they have very specific dietery requirements along the lines of Chinchillas. Scramble
I was waiting for you, Joojoo! eeeee....Meine best friend has degus They are so lovely..although they are little escape artists who hide under wardrobes and sit in the food bag when let of of their cage If you're sitting on the floor they also climb all over you ... they are adorable and very gentle though So....todays topics....toothpaste and degus....it isn't known as the crazy thread for nothing

Lewis
Thanks I've been telling him that, but he's more interested in cost and also his friend wants to buy it so its a tad expensive £90 cage + £45 for 2 degu. A friend of mine breeds chinchillas and I think she used to have degu so I can speak to her about them, but I'll definately do a bit of reading befire we get anything. We've had loads of hamsters so they're easy, and gerbils are quite similar, I want to get a 'gerbilarium' with a load of tunnels

Space Chick
I had gerbils when I was growing up, they were lovely. I had 1 gerbil which I was told by the petshop was a boy, and I called him Rambo. A few days later he gave birth to 7 babies I successfully sexed them and the babies were 5 boys and 2 girls, we kept the girls and found homes for the boys. We changed Rambo's name to Cuddles, and her 2 daughters we called Smokey and Lady. Smokey was a fabulous grey colour, and lived to 6 years old
Lewis
I think he's leaning towards the gerbils and is looking at a few cages, we have the fish tank in the garage we used for the brooder and he wants to buy a cage top (the metal bar type) to fit that and use it, but I think we should just get a new purpose built one ... we'll see, tomorrow it'll have changed to degu again
