Cooks
Well I think Bumble layed yesterday as there was a small egg in the poop tray which had been broken, my older girls never ever lay there and to be honest their eggs are much bigger. She also crouched for me this morning, now I know she's got this the wrong way around and crouching should come first, but please remember that she is an Orpie and not exactly the full ticket.. I will eagerly check later to see if there's anything else. Her head gear is very impressive compared to her sisters

Chook n Boo Mum
You have to be patient with Orpies & their laying patterns..............eventually they start to lay, as you've just found out.........then they repeat the exercise, perhaps 3 or 4 times a week or 5 if you are really lucky....then one of them goes broody and they all go on maternity leave in sympathy......once the babies are cast aside.......they all go into full blown moult in time for a winter of.......... no laying Bless their little feathery knickers Sha x
Cooks
I will allow no brrodiness in this house... There has been another egg on the roosting bars since then so she's getting closer to the nestbox.
Valkyrie
Sioux lulled me into a false sense of security - the madam has stopped after laying half a dozen.
