Alis girls
I have a new toy- a gravel cleaner. Having wasted £6.99 in Wyevale getting some contraption to clean the pooey gravel in the fish tank I found the stupid thing useless so ordered an battery one off Amazon. No where in the instructions did it say the fish should be removed when using so I set to hoovering out the gunge only to find the remains of Britney in the thing when cleaning it. (lily Allen died some weeks back) OH roared (yes hes a beast) and we have now just got Duffy and Beyonce left. Darent tell kids. I think they might notice but by then I will have got some more fish. tanks looks cleaner just a bit emptier

Seagazer
Oh dear - best to keep quiet about it I think. I've only just told the kids that Sophie ate our last budgie (about 8 years ago). Thankfully time has softened the blow

Seagazer
They obviously realise that she's gone I hasten to add but they thought she died of 'hurumph' natural causes
Laura & CTB
I guess Sophie thought it was perfectly natural.
Space Chick
When I was little I thought my goldfish Tom and Jerry lived for a very long time, as friends had goldfish that died and were flushed down the toilet. Little did I know that we had several Tom's and several Jerry's My mother only told me once I'd left home
Lewis
My goldfish lived for a good few years - a lady from nursey bought me them (Sam and Ella) but they were always the same. I think I cried when Ella died!
Alis girls
We have enver had much luck with fish except in later years. when ES was about 4 wehad 4 goldfish named after the Teletubbies and the the Tweenies. All went to the "fish hosp" and came back cured Then is later years we've got Danios who last for ever except er when I hoover the tank

chickencam
We have got one 10 year old fish in our pond, who is the only survivor of the 3 we had for the children when they were small. It lives there with about 10 descendents. They are so much happier in the pond and get less nasties.
