Olly
That's great Olly , you need to get that garden cut back so you can see it I am contemplating growing something over the run, my neighbour has a grapevine on the fence at the back of the run, there's a good chance it will extend over it if I encourage it a bit. Fantastic, the girls could just feed themselves treats at will! I put the Eglu on the stand today, fixed up the waterbutt (with difficulty, I wish I'd bought it earlier and got Tony to do it!) and put some woodchip and some branches in. Oh yes, and I allowed three chickens in there on strict condition that they don't make it untidy! Forgot to take any more photos though. I am a bit of a numpty - I knew that you couldn't hang the Grub/Glug on the weldmesh, but had totally forgotten about this, until I moved the hens in this afternoon. I've had to resort to an old-fashioned Glug (not the Superglug) and put them on the ground, where no doubt they'll soon be full of woodchip. I should have ordered a stand for them, will have to see what I can create out of s"Ooops, word censored!" wood.
Lewis
Laminate flooring and ikea utensils rails are meant to be good for hanging glugs + grubs
sallyj
I love your run. It looks fantastic . It seems to blend into your garden really well. I like the idea of growing something up the run. I'd like to try that with my WIR . Has anybody else got shrubs or climbers on their run?
Olly
Laminate flooring and ikea utensils rails are meant to be good for hanging glugs + grubs Ah - thanks Lewis, I found the earlier thread about the stands that Aviaries4U make, and some home-made ones, but I'd forgotten about those options. The Superglug is the main problem as it's so heavy and it needs to hang upright (not at an angle) to work. I know other people have put a piece of wire up. I'm sure there's some laminate flooring in the garage - if not, a trip to Ikea may be needed!
Lewis
We have a garage full if you were closer! My aunt + uncle bought a grub + glug this week for their wooden coop, and have taken some floor for theirs tonight
