Lewis
We have our tree It may be a bit early, but we need it for next week with birthdays, and its meant to be no-drop
Rhapsody
Get one of these http://www.pinesandneedles.com/products/Christmas-Tree-Stands/ and your tree will stay beneedled, they are genius.
Cinnamon
I have something like that & they really DO work However, watering the tree, squatting down with a long necked indoor watering can, trying not to drip on the pressies,is quite a feat
Lewis
I saw some on ebay a bit cheaper than that It came with a little stand, so we've used that, but might go to B&Q and see if they have any that hold water
Valkyrie
Nearly bought a very pretty wreath for our front door - but it was so wet that I decided against it - it would have puddled all over my friend's car - and our front door is rubbish and warped at the best of times (probably would have been the final straw)! And DD did my avatar for me because I am totally rubbish at doing anything like. I gave up watching last time she did - a blur of movement which I could never take in what was being done! Tree, maybe next weekend - too much sewing stuff strewn everywhere.

Reikiranf
Like your avatar Reiki but sort of feeling sorry for your little person in there. Will it escape after Christmas? I haven't a clue! I chose a few that I liked but that was the only one that I could get to work I think it's a bit sad really a poor little emoticon stuck in a bauble, but I figured it was better than nothing
Valkyrie
He's a mime artist and is actually quite free and standing behind the bauble.
Rhapsody
I saw some on ebay a bit cheaper than that It came with a little stand, so we've used that, but might go to B&Q and see if they have any that hold water or just fill a shallow bowl with wayer and lower the tree into it- I used to do that before I got a water stand (Homebase does cheap ones)

It doesn't seem quite so sad now that I know it's the Christmas version of the "box"

chickencam
We have a stand that the tree fits into after it has been sort of sharpened in a giant pencil sharpener. The cats drink out of it and then the water goes mouldy We did most of our shopping yesterday evening, sorted quite a few difficult to buy for people, just needs some bits and bobs for the children now
Sunshine
Right i've done my avatar. Doesn't fit with my username now. I'm in a Christmassy mood today. Been doing my crafty secret santa this morning and then been to our local church Christmas fair this afternoon, and Christmas in Scotland has all been sorted!
