Richard T
Some exciting news. Last weekend we went down to Forsham Cottage Arks and ordered a big run. It's being delivered next week. On the delivery note it's described as a HenPen. The gorgeous but slightly worried HP needed reassurance that I had not bought it for her to live in. Martin B
Are you putting the eglu inside the henpen? Any progress with the sheep?
Richard T
Yes we'll be putting the eglu - without its run - inside the henpen. We haven't made any progress with the sheep. It's probably just as well because we wouldn't have the time to look after them at the moment. It's something we'll keep in mind for the future. Mind you, there are plenty of sheep in the area that we can visit at weekends. We are planning to get some more chickens and I definitely want to have a go at keeping ducks. Martin B
Ducks sounds exciting! Will you get a ducklu? Are you going to be raising your own Christmas Dinners?
Egluntyne
Our two are 'Natural Born Killers', so I have loaded up their collars with lots of jangly bling - they look like yardie pimps, That's the funniest thing I have read on the forum in ages! The Dogmother
I do that Richard; Rosie and I pop over to Broughton Castle and covet the lambs there.
Richard T
Martin - we are planning on getting a ducklu. We might try raising Christmas dinners in the future but probably not this year. Lesley - not sure what type of duck. I've still some research to do on that. Any suggestions will be welcomed. Mel(&Paul) - the problem with shared access rights of sheep is that the farmer can move the sheep without notifying you. I think we might need to draw up a legal agreement to formalise the access arrangements. Do you know a good lawyer - or perhaps we should see a baaarrister? Clare - lambs. Whether they're gambolling in a field or swimming in mint sauce on a plate, you've just got to love them haven't you? Leeds Castle gathering - would anyone be interested in combining it with the monthly Lenham market? The market is on the second Sunday morning each month. It's not huge but we like it. The Dogmother
That sounds like a great idea Richard. Summer is already starting to book up for us, so best decide a date early
Martin B
Sounds great, is there a date for that bash yet?
Guest
I can't do Sunday mornings, but could possibly join you in the afternoon. I was wondering about Easter Monday, but I know Kate A is away then. Plus the M25 is usually ghastly too, especially going home! So probably not the best day.
