I ordered a couple of books from Amazon the other day - didn't mind when they arrived.

 

They arrived at 10 pm last night!!!!!! :shock:

 

We'd closed both farm gates and locked up for the night - both dogs were loose in the house and not wearing collars..............we put the chain on the door and peeped out :anxious: ........a lad from City Link, looked all of 12, standing with a parcel!!!

 

I know the couriers have a lot to deliver at this time of year but I didn't expect a delivery at bedtime!

 

I feel guilty now for ordering books that I didn't need just yet :oops:

I was waiting for a small parcel from Argos on Monday afternoon, 12 -6 delivery slot, it did not arrive rang customer services and they said it could come up to 7.00 and to ring back if it didn't. When I rang at 7.30 they said it may still come as the vans were still out. I rang at 10.00 yesterday morning and they said it had left the depot again at 7.30 am it arrived about midday.

 

In difficult circumstances the customer services were very helpful I am sure I was one of many, well done Argos.

A bit late but at least they got it to you (incase it was for christmas)

 

I think Amazon are really excellent, they seem to sometimes use private delivery too, I know I have had things delivered really early in the morning from them..still in my dressing gown...thermal socks nora batty... looking exceptionally glamourous!

I ordered from Firebox last Thursday for delivery Friday, the order was incorrectly allocated to the wrong depot by the courier, Firebox called us on Friday to say the parcel would be with us Monday (good service Firebox - most companies dont bother to call and own up to problems :clap: )

 

The parcel arrived on Sunday :D most unexpected but welcome

 

Thats a determined delivery chap Lesley, its quite a walk from your house from the road in the dark :shock:

I'm impressed with Amazon. I ordered some things just before mindnight on Wednesday and one package turned up yesterday and the rest turned up about an hour ago. I wanted it for Christmas but was expecting it to turn up after then as I was late ordering.

 

ParcelForce impressed me too - I ordered something for my hubby's birthday a couple of weeks ago and needed to go out in the afternoon of the day it was due to arrive. Rang their customer services, spoke to a woman with impeccable manners and customer service skills who promised to find out where the package was AND called me back within 1 minutes to let me know. The driver was ace too, and even carried the box into the house for me.

 

What a pleasant shock!
