How could....

Poor little chap. What I also find scary on that link though is the number of Staffys looking for homes. It really uspsets me what is happening to the breed as a result of their status in society at the moment. It must be making it hard for the true solid Staffy owners who have had them for years.

Absolutely horrible. The poor mite must have been terrified, how anyone can do this to an animal is beyond me. I get emails pretty much every day from this rescue organisation, there is a constant supply of dogs needing new homes. It's so sad, I would say about 70% of the dogs needing new homes are Staffies or staff crosses. The RSPCA are now giving Staffies away for free in the hope of finding them new homes.

Oh bless his heart, it makes you want to weep. :(

My next door neighbours are thinking of getting another dog, their goldie died a couple of years ago. They're thinking of a rescue as they wouldn't want a puppy at the their age (late 60s). They look after their son's lurcher sometimes and I spent ages stroking her the last time. So gentle and gorgeous.

They've been looking at rescue sites and say that the vast majority are staffs. I know when we were looking before Cookie that Battersea was just chock full of them.

I hope that the poor little boy gets a lovely home when he's ready to be rehomed.

They'd do well to get a rescue, there are so many that need homes and they are just so grateful. Tell them to try looking on Lurcher Link, there are some older doggles on there.

I look at my happy girl and it makes me want to cry thinking of that poor lad. I once fostered a rescue who was so thin when he was picked up that his bones were wearing through his skin. He wouldnt' leave my side and I broke my usual rule of not allowing dogs in bedrooms for him. :(

How utterly heartbreaking is that beautiful boys face. :( You can just see that he is so desperate to be loved and has so much love to give in return.

May he never know fear or pain again, only love and kindness.

Bless him and all the lovely people who are helping him.
