A friend has lost her parrot in the Romford area, details on the parrot will follow please keep your eyes open for him.

 

Moderators can this stay here for a few days just so people see it as this parrot needs to be found in this bad weather

 

details of the parrot are:

His name is Albert and he's a Timney Grey parrot. Completely grey with a maroon tail. Almost identical to an African Grey but a little smaller.

yes his mum is distraught so I felt it only right to try my bit to find him, please keep your eyes peeled everyone.

I'm imagining what I'd do if I saw a lost parrot; I'd probably tell the local vets & RSPB & RSPA in case they knew who had lost one....

...maybe your friend could leave her details with all those local places?

I live pretty near to Romford so have been keeping my eyes open.

Still praying that someone has taken him and and will return him to his owner

no I haven't heard anything and I have been promised news as soon as she has any... lets hope he's sitting in someones house (safe from cold) and they are contacting or have contacted the parrot rescue people. I dearly hope so, he'a family member and deserves to be with his family.

Are there any wild parrot enclaves round there? There's some in Twickenham and Hampstead. Has she notifed local park keepers? And out of interest how do you lose a parrot?

he flew out an open window in her house, it happens unfortunately. I believe she has covered all bases trying to get him back.
