Valkyrie
You can feel the lurve eh? That's because he's pinched my car. Hmmph. I am quite jealous Ygerna! Actually it's our anniversary the following week so we don't bother with Valentines Day (I nearly abbreviated it but thought better of it!). Well I used to but he didn't
Cooks
mine would cringe inwardly if I made him something for valentines day... talking of anniversaris its my 15th this year... crystal apparantly but I've convinced him it's a bike...
Snowy
We don't really do Valentines day either, but last year the children wanted to get involved so we cut out loads of paper hearts and hung them round the lounge. Most had 'I love you Daddy' on them He didn't mind cos it was from the boys
Valkyrie
How about a treasure hunt with some home made biccies or sweeties at the end. You could do lots of little love letters with the clues. Awwwww Snowy's boys.
AJuff
A dishcloth with a heart on it then expect him to do the dishes!!!
lisaroo2
What about making a little book of vouchers for him? You could include vouchers for little treats like a fav cake that he likes or a day out. I did this one year for my OH who loved it!! I had to take the vouchers off him once he had redeemed then though as he kept coming back with the 'snog' voucher!!
Plum
I think my vouchers would say -mend the kitchen shelf, sort out the loo flushing, fix me an outside tap, clean the cat tray
Ygerna
I did the voucher thing for our Anniversary, he really liked it (he cried, but he is an amazingly sensitive man ) so, will save that for another year. I've decided on part of it, I am going to make him a chocolate trifle. I've never made him one but I know he loves them, and that they remind him of happy childhood events. Not spectacular but I think he will really like that.

craftyhunnypie
Will you put candles in it like my hubby's birthday trifle? You could shake the sprinklies on the top in a heart shape! Emma.x
A chickychickychick-ENN!!
A noose Koojie! Snorts! I made a comic book one year, with each frame a sort of rubbishy small child drawing of something lovely we'd done in the previous year. It was in crayon or felt tips I think, and I thought it was really badly done, and he LOVED it because it was so personal. Love Snowy's hearts idea too. How about making love heart felt placemats and maybe painting some hearts on plain white plates, and doing a really romantic dinner? Or do some glass etching on wine glasses wit some phrases or verses which are really special to him? Have you looked at whipup.net's archive? LOADS of stuff on there. And I was on a bit or a lurve frenzy last year, so here's some links: viewtopic.php?f=32&t=38838 viewtopic.php?f=32&t=38837 Papercuts are easy if you have a steady hand. Just use a craft knife, and stick the cut out piece of paper on a contrasting piece: viewtopic.php?f=32&t=38934 viewtopic.php?f=32&t=38855 Paperclips? viewtopic.php?f=32&t=38811

Valkyrie
Just googling for the sisal - or maybe I should squeeze myself in a corset, slap on the lippy, massacre my eyeballs and go down to Portsmouth and ask those lovely matelots if they've got any spare off the Victory. Valkyrie
I have no idea where that phrase came from - been using it for years - but it sounds funny doesn't it (probably my dad - it's the sort of nutty thing he would have said)!
