Very nearly got stuck in newcastle yesterday, got stuck on thick solid ice and couldnt move :anxious: had to be pulled off by fork lift  Oh what fun

Ooo and what was that about ironing? i have a pile here waiting to be done

Good night all ashore that's going ashore. I'm on washing strike - 2 people have yet to remove their ironed clothes - and they were here before Debs came and the piles are still there. Hmmph.

Glad Nat's bright enough to wave - hope the op was a success. And a big good luck for tomorrow.

GOOD LUCK

Hope that fork lift didn't hurt you, Wigglebum. Didn't they have some handy muscle man with a lasso to pull you off - were you skating? I do think the fork lift was extreme! I'd be too scared to skate on ice - my weight would break the ice and I'd need more than a fork lift - thinking more on the lines of a frigate or a tanker.

Oh dear, poor Phil.

My brother phoned really late last night - Erin said he sounded worried and he was just checking that mum was with us - but he didn't want to speak to her and we were still up. Why did he leave it so late? Perhaps it was to chat about computers - mum asked if I was angry with her about it. I said no of course not. I wonder if little brother has the grumps with me and is stirring things? Very odd behaviour - I know that's rich coming from me.

Anyhoo I promised to be quick on here, so I'll say goodnight.

See you later alligator. And goooooood moooorrrrning Omleteeeeeeerrrrrrs.

Hey, those pigeons that miraculously disappeared when Debs was here (not one to be seen apart from 2 flying over without stopping) are now everywhere. Pesky things.

Washing and ironing today - because I need to - can't hold off any longer because it's driving me potty.

Well I have the day off work today, but can not spend it on the forum :(

I am nipping on quick to say good morning, and then I have a busy day planned, some things to sort out for Grandad and lots of house/garden preparations for Saturdays Hen Party. Although I am hoping that people are coming to see the chickens and learn about them, so they won't care if the house and garden are a mess :anxious:

Morning all, hey, i think my brains coming back to me, such as it is!

Debs, I didnt know you was having a hen party, how exiting! how many people do you have coming? I wish i was close so i could come too :D

GOOD LUCK Lewis.

Now, Koojie! Dont let the ****** get ya down, just chuck their clothes in their rooms, shut the door and walk away and let em do it!

It wasnt 'me' stuck on the ice silly  it was my lorry, all 40 tons of it! the wheels were just spinning uselessly, so we had to break up the ice with a spade and then with the aid of a fork lift we managed to move it. And as for hunky muscle men, they just dont seem to exist in my world :( (exept my OH of course) (just in case he reads this  )

Morning all!

Lewis, good to hear Nat is ok after his operation. I remember having morphine after an operation and it made me itch all over, was horrid :( Good luck with your Aber exams.

Danny's gone on his first ever proper school trip today, will be his first time on a coach :anxious: They're going to a nearby farm, not sure what they're going to do all day there mind, we took him when he was younger and I wasn't all that impressed. He was extremely excited this morning, especially as he had to take a packed lunch - he usually has school dinners. I was a bit annoyed though because we had to put it all in a plastic bag, so it could be thrown away afterwards. He's got a lunch bag he hasn't actually used yet, couldn't even put his sandwiches in a box, not exactly environmentally friendly

He's 5. It's not stopped raining yet though, so I suspect they're all playing on the indoor play equipment rather than learning about the animals. That's their topic for this half term, hence the trip to the farm. They had a farmer visit them yesterday, Dan said he couldn't remember what he talked about, but he did bring some eggs to show them.

He said he did tell him we had chickens, think he was a bit unimpressed being shown eggs. Presumably the farmer did talk to them about chickens etc.

I'm not too worried, he seems to be a perfect angel in school according to his teachers. He's been on a trip before, when he was in nursery he was chosen along with 3 others to go to Tesco on the bus, to buy ingredients for a stir fry - it was the Tesco featured in the other thread, where the customers wear their pj's - I was slightly worried about him that time :anxious:

I bet Dan has a great time PT :D I hope the rain stops so he can get to see some of the animals.

I've just been back to the docs with my dodgy ears. I've now got swollen glands to and the nurse says i have sinusitis, my ears are also very waxy. I have to inhale steam 3 times a day. When i'm feeling better, if i'm still having trouble hearing, i might have to have my ears syringed.

Fingers crossed for a bit of fine weather for him then PT :D

Oh ClaireG, Ive never had ear trouble myself but OH had to have his ears syringed once and apparently there came out a bullet shaped and sized piece of wax ! and he said even his own footsteps sounded incredibly loud to him afterwards!

Good luck with yours :D

This is the unhealthy thread isn't it! Well I hope all the aches, pains and lurgies don't last long. Had to take mum for her eye check up at the hospital on Monday - notices outside state that visitor times had been changed because of the sickness bug going around. I told mum to hold her breath just in case!

I don't know why Debs has to worry about her house being neat and tidy - bring your hen party here first and then they'll know yours is a palace in comparison!:oops:

Acherly this morning I was having my brekkers when I noticed number one son's pile of clothes had gone. Just Erin's and as I mentioned it to her (while she was grabbing items from the middle section and now we have a leaning tower of broken Pisa) she says "well I can't do it now can I, I'm going off to college". Splutter splutter.

I remember my first farm trip with the school. Dad drove a group of us and he made me sit in the back seat - I was so NOT impressed and had the hump with him for ages. The farmer had saddleback pigs and as I stepped back to write some notes, the headmaster grabbed my arm, pinching it tightly - really hurt - and told me I had to go back and look. Well I had already looked and seen - but I'd seen pigs before in the farm next door to my nan's house. I did have a few run ins with him throughout school (nasty man) and I was such a goody goody - I think he just didn't like me for some reason.

I'm sure Danny will have a great time at his farm even if it's raining - I'm sure there's something fun to do indoors. Adults always notice the finer details while the young'uns think it's the best place ever.

Well the garden is now looking more presentable, I have cleaned out the girls run, and now I have to start the inside. :anxious:

I'm glad Phil is off out tonight as it gives me more time to do stuff in the house. It doesn't have to be a palace, but it is a mess at the moment

See you later peeps :D

Don't believe you there Debs! My garden is full of rubbish that badly needs sorting out. Too many things accumulated or been given to me and so little time to sort them out. Ah, job for mum - washing the flower pots. I'm thinking of fencing off one side of the garden to a) let it rest from the chickens and b) remove it back around the veg plot when I start planting again and the chickens will go - ooooh new area to dig in and oooooh more grass. And I need my little snowdrops to have a chance to perk up before fluffy footed girls scrabble them to death. Oh wonder of wonders it is grotty rain at the moment.

Seems Dan had a fab time, he's gone off to gymnastics now so haven't got it all out of him yet. There was a llama, and pigs, and he stroked a donkey and held a guinea pig. He ate all his lunch and they played on the indoor play area. The tractor had a big puddle on the seat though so he couldn't sit on it.

Just got soaked walking home from school. I'm so fed up with rain :(
