Valkyrie Posted May 14, 2010 Share Posted May 14, 2010 The past few days have been pretty much the same, sunny in the morning with some pretty cumulus building up and by the afternoon it looks quite stormy. Frosty yesterday and as this has been the first time in a couple of years that a very pretty pink rhododendron has been covered in flowers (I put it down to chicken poo) - and it's all gone brown - poo! We haven't had any storms but a few spits of rain - yesterday had the most with enough to dampen the paving and that was it. Went for a walk today and sat at the shore of Grasmere, gloves on ....eating our lunch. Valkyrie Posted May 15, 2010 Share Posted May 15, 2010 It was a nice day yesterday, cleaned the cube and got bitten on the ankles by a rotweiller. I mean angry broody pekin (Mini) who had been turfed out then was rewarded with diatom up the bum and all over dowsing with it. And yet again the stormy clouds gathered but no rain at all. Sunny and a lot warmer this morning - seeing as Erin ventured out with only a towel to sort out noisy Skye. Edited to add she was wearing said towel after coming out of the shower and not used as a device to quieten the bird - what would the neighbours say? Actually what would her mother say! The Dogmother Posted May 17, 2010 Share Posted May 17, 2010 Beautifully hot here on both days; I actually got too hot yesterday while I was cleaning out the animals and gardening. Today started at 13deg at 6.30am,but had clouded over and gone down to 11deg by the time i left for work at 8.30am. Cloudier now, but still sunny. Yesterday was dull grey and cold in the morning, we lit the fire and read the papers, then watched the grand prix, then it rained, but by 6pm it was sunny and warm and I got the school uniform dry between 7 and 8pm Sunny start this morning a bit of cloud at the moment, but still ok. The black clouds that seemed to accumulate around us for the past week stopped over the top and let rip. Sunny today and very warm - although the clouds are building up again.
